Sportsball is pretty "farky" but I don't know him either. He had a hit song when he was 17? And then ....

Is he allegedly dead? Or made so, allegedly, by his brother?

"We Ready" is kinda-sorta the urban equivalent as a sports anthem of "Start Me Up" for settings where classic rock is more appropriate. It's a (somewhat cliché) thing you play at the start of a game. The big difference, of course, is the Stones were not exactly a one-hit wonder.

Nonetheless, I do music for sports venues across a few different demographics and "We Ready" is still a banger 20 years later. Kinda surprised he didn't capitalize on that further.

Figured it was another "up-and-coming rapper with a promising future shot dead" article, but it's a dude who released one album 20 years ago.  Never heard of him or his music.  RIP, I guess.
