Just imagine how much worse it would be if Cynthia Nixon had won.

You can tell he's a Democrat because a Republican wouldn't have resigned.

By contrast the Republican Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton, has been under indictment for securities fraud since July 2015 and has not resigned. His case has not come to trial yet because of endless dilatory disputes about the venue. He is running for reeelection.

Dog catcher probably won't do any worse; he'll, it'll probably be an improvement

I think the real take away is that NOW is the time to start bribing your local dog catcher

A Republican would not have been charged, because charging Republicans for crimes is illegal, apparently.

We are still feeling the repercussions of Trump's weaponization and politicization of the justice system.

It's not the end. It's not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

See the post above about how it's illegal to charge Republicans with a crime.

Ken Paxton may never stand trial at this point.  He's got endless amounts of people bought off.

I think his most recent scheme was that his lackeys made sure the special prosecutors on his case weren't getting paid.  So they wanted to quit.   I lost track of what happened with that.

I'm shocked this got greened.

I'm not shocked that the comments here are mostly deflection from the fact a DNC member, a crook, had to resign. Yes republicans are scummy but so are the democrats. They're human, not superhuman.

Now let's hear your weak mocking

What state governor was it that, a few months ago, out-and-out refused to resign amid allegations of sexual assault of female employees, only to do so after a ton of pressure and unavoidable press?  Oh yeah, Andrew Cuomo.

It's a New York politician.   Was there any doubt they were corrupt to begin with?

Paxton was indicted by the State of Texas for securities fraud 7 years ago. And the Federal SEC, who usually prosecutes these cases, brought Charges, but an Obama appointed judge dismissed the charges, multiple times. He was obviously bribed.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amos_L._Mazzant_III

Also, the Texas State Securities board also refused to bring charges, so they have been bought off, as well. It appears the only people who were not paid were the fearless prosecutors.

You can tell he's a Democrat by the Mods trying too bury any recognition of the story. Surprised they would green this in between the Jan 6 Fetish Parade.

Careful Drew, your bias is showing.

I agree. Just because the Third Way Democrats are completely ignoring the threads where another Third Way New York Democrat is caught being corrupt doesn't mean that Fark is burying this one.
