Remember back in the '00s all the "OMG! this is the worst virus ever!" emails that always were just bunk?

Good times

I like Apple but like VR and steam. We have 2 but they are old but Apple is good about security. What I use is chromebook cheap touch screen just need to restart no guns like windows.
I wonder how there presented subscription model would work out on phones they intentionally make them unusable.

Yet another anti-Apple headline that's not based in reality. Do they pay you for these, Drew?

Meanwhile the iPod touch that I'm writing this on is stuck at 12.5.5. Thanks, Tim Apple.

Not sure if serious?

It's a real patch issued for a real vulnerability that is actively being exploited as a zero day.

Hay Apple, stop enabling Bluetooth every time I update the software on my phone.

That beats the other 20 insane things iphones do with Bluetooth. Who at apple thought "Hey when we connect to a car, of course we should randomly boot itunes and max out the volume. That would be spiffy!"?

As long as they fix the goddamn battery issue, I'll be happy. I have an XS and the battery was just fine until 15.4, then I'm barely getting six hours out of a charge. Yeah, it's an older phone, but Apple's own battery diagnostic tool says it is still at 98% of its original performance, which means something is farked up with the OS.

Okay, so it wasn't just me that had a battery issue with 15.4, and I use an iPhone 8+

Nope, there was an issue with that damn update. What was infuriating is that Apple's own energy analysis from Settings kept telling me Chrome was using the most energy even though it wasn't open. The OS was doing something in the background that drained the battery.

I probably spent a full 30 seconds trying to decipher that post.

This is why we should be able to see post histories like on Reddit.  I want to know how long an account like that was dormant before it was dusted off to shiatpost.

It's another real patch issued this year for another real vulnerability that is actively being exploited as another zero day.

Or.... you know... Chrome was doing something in the background. Why would you use software from a company that wants you to buy a different phone? I've got an XS as well, and I haven't had any battery problems.
