If I'm at work, I'm on the clock.  Want me to spend the night?  No problem...anything after the first 8 hours is OT.

I don't know any details of how the second round of recent lockdowns in Shanghai are going but during the first round some technology workers I occasionally meet with virtually were unable to leave their office building for several days. Apparently they were each assigned a bunk in conference rooms converted into makeshift dormitories. To say morale and productivity took a hit might be a bit of an understatement, but I don't think any of them had to sleep at their desks.

Before remote access I spent many a 48 or 72 hours on site. Thank god for remote access.

Would never fly here. Of course, here we have plenty of vaccines, free for the asking and everyone* is vaccinated.

In the meantime companies in places like Iceland, Scotland and New Zealand are experimenting with a 4 days work week after studies showed more hours at work and staying late doesn't translate to high productivity and apparently a happy employee with high morale and less stress leads to high productivity.
Also working from home, if your profession allows it, does not reduce productivity, it's actually the opposite.
