This headline is nuts.

Pro:  said to be have an incredible in-game knowledge, with some saying he should coach someday.  (Even though he's on record as saying he will never coach, once he's done, he wants to enjoy his retirement, not spend another X years on an NBA schedule).

Con:  loves to kick other players in the balls accidentally, but often.

Is he playing tonight? Article doesn't specify when and I can't get any other info, but he's off the injury report...

Larry Bird was better.

He's not Golden State's best player but he might be their most valuable one. They look like shiat without him.

Reminds me of Boris Diaw. The best thing about him is an incredibly high basketball IQ. The worst thing is that he knows it.

Green was on a radio show a few months back, breaking down how Curry's return was going.  for a solid 3-4 minutes, no questions, he referenced how Curry's off the ball defending had improved, and how teams with a big low, vs a big that plays outside, Curry and the team in general, had different defensive schemes.  "this team is good at 3s, that team likes to draw fouls", and just a litany of basketball knowledge.  speed, height, length, "their 2 likes this, but our 3 can do that", and so on.

the question came up and I've read it elsewhere re coaching.  seems to more looking at a commentator job when his days end.

Agree 100% with everything except that last part. He's literally already on contract with Turner, and I doubt he's gonna stop when he's done with basketball. And I can't wait for him to do it full time, for all the reasons you outlined, he knows his shiat

He's incredibly abrasive. There might be a Latrell Sprewell incident in his future if he tried to coach.

They've got two amazing 19 year old rookies and 20 year old James Wiseman on the roster. Green teaching those guys on the court is priceless.

Steve Kerr has more technical fouls than Green this season. Smart money says he'll catch up by season end.

Requires too much suspension of disbelief.

That article was actually spot-on until the final line, which subby quoted.  Draymond is a great facilitator of top of the line talent, and a great defender when he wants to be.  But he'll, admittedly, take seasons off when the top of the line talent isn't available.

/my autocorrect turns 'Draymond' into X-ray mind.  Spooky, right?

Hard to surmise if you know less about Green or Sprewell. Guessing both.

Nope. I know he's had some ugly shouting matches with teammates in the locker room, and he gets a shiatload of Ts. And all you need is to yell at someone who isn't quite right like Sprewell wasn't one too many times... As screecher PJ discovered. Oh, and fark you.

Go watch the last 24 seconds of last season's play-in game against the Griz and come back and say that again.  It'll still be just as couugh, cough, cough, (I seem to have something in my throat) funny.
