The best type of IPA is Pine-Sol.

Otherwise, impressive list.  Russian Imperial Stout high on the list?  Yes.
Weistephaner weiss bier?  Yes.
Celebrator as the best doppelbock?  It's fantastic; I prefer Salvator, but no complaint.

30+ doesn't even come close to all of the beer styles that are out there, but it does get to the most popular.

No Czech beers?

They have the best in the world.

Kozel and Svijanský Máz are very very good

The best beer is the beer you like best. Truly is it written that beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.

IPAs are a plague upon the land. Now there is nothing inherently wrong with IPAs, it's just that craft brewers want to make them to the exclusion of all else.

List contains a Saison, therefore the whole thing is invalid.

Is there a list for all saisons?

Me, thought I would see Rasputin for the Russian imperial stout. Or whatever that Jesus one is called.

There's a place in Santa Cruz that serves Old Rasputin on nitro. So. Damn. Good.

As for milk stout, I gotta go with Dragon's Milk. Yet another one that's so damn good.

No Belgian ales either. But they always get lost in the mix because people are obsessed with IPAs.

The list is of best beers for every style. Saison is a BJCP style.

Are you being ignorant on purpose? If so, username checks out.

I'm well aware of what it is. I just think it's vile.

I think I have had, let alone even heard of, exactly one the brands/labels on the list (tripel, La Fin du Monde).

I'll have to look for First Call since it's brewed here in Minnesota.

I thought last year's heady topper was better. This year's pliny the younger was magical.

I love IPAs. I love the taste. I love the piney taste. It's like irrumare from a larch.

Hey, look, it's a lager!  Well, kind of, sort of, not really.  Still, how did a real beer slip in there?

Here in San Diego (the epicenter of the hop craze), all the newest stuff is Belgians, sours, ciders, and harc kombuchas.  Any new IPAs seem to be the hazy New England style.

Bums me out, I absolutely love a clear, sharp IPA with a spicy greasy meal.  Nothing cuts through a pile of fries covered in carne asada better.

I've found that krieks are either the best beer you've had in months or a hideous mistake.

When they're good, they're super great, but when they're bad it's like paint stripper.

Lately I've been digging light, crisp, session beers. Had a really enjoyable noble-hopped pilsner at Fate brewery in Phoenix yesterday. They had a decent altbier too but the pilsner won my heart.

That is a horrifyingly specific comparison which raises many disturbing questions as to why you chose that specific reference point. I realize that it might be a very obscure ethic cuisine item, so I don't want to judge.

Everyone should just drink what they like, and lists like this are nothing but subjective opinion. However, I've been brewing beer for a little under 30 years. I've traveled through Europe and the US, always drinking local stuff. So I'll offer my educated and experienced opinion on the most egregious parts of the list.

Russian Imperial Stout
Two big problems:
1. This list starts terribly because they have the history of the beer wrong! It was exported to the court of Catherine the Great, NOT Peter the Great.
2. If you're making a list of the best beers of specific categories, then your #1 selection should NOT be a beer which contains adjunct flavoring ingredients that are not true to the original style (vanilla beans in this case.)
Personal Favorite: Tod Mott's "Kate the Great" (now brewed as Tod the Lesser)

New England IPA:
NO NO NO. The history they give about an IPA is 100% false. It's often repeated, but is not true.
Anyhow, Heady Topper is highly overrated. It's not even The Alchemist's best IPA ( I would personally give that title to "Focal Banger" a can of which I am about to open right now.) The best NEIPAs are brewed by Treehouse. Hands down, no argument.

Saison:
It pains me to agree with this one. I'm a Belgian beer fan, and I have been all around Belgium. As much as I'd like to argue for Fantome, Hill Farmstead is making some really outstanding beers, especially in this category.

American Pale Ale:
NO. The beer they selected is NOT a pale ale. Beer categories are there for a reason.

Milk Stout:
NO. Another myth passed off as truth. Workers were not pouring milk into beer.

German Pilsner:
Just stop. We get it; people have a boner for Hill Farmstead. There are dozens of actual German Pilsners, from Germany, that are better. This is laughable.

Cream Ale:
This is not a Cream Ale by definition. They should be no more than 5.5% ABV.

Kolsch:
Last time I checked, Boston is not within 30 miles of the Cologne, Germany, city limits. And having had Trillium's Kolsch, this ranking is just plain wrong.

My personal opinion of the best beer in the world, YMMV:  Aventinus

Someone with better 'shop skills than I get a screenshot of South Park Stick of Truth scene where the Chinese restaurant owner says "You no want Mongolian beef; taste like Lionel Richie's asshole" and replace it with Great Milenko's line here.

Reminds me I haven't finished either South Park RP game.

I'll accept LA Fin du Monde.

Long Strange Triple. Discontinued, sadly from a KC area brewery that had its brews over here in CA via Total Wine. Up there with La Fin and actual Belgian stuff.

Delirium Tremens and Piraat for occasions, but I'm sacrificing beer as I lose weight and avoid the beetus.

/Brandy/cognac and vodka was my preferred stuff anyway
//50 pounds off in two years

So everything that 3 Floyds, 3F and Hill Farmstead brew.  Got it.  If they don't brew a style, then whatever trendy brewery they can think of off the top of their heads.  Seriously, best Tripel is La Fin Du Mond?  Really?  That's about where I stopped reading.

There's several belgians on the list.
