No. I had cereal yesterday and I'm out of blueberries to put in it. I'm having eggs and I don't care if it stops the sun in the sky. So there.

I asked my wife if she had any plans for today and she said, "Nut 'n Honey." Whoever celebrates this is just Fruit Loops. Chex mix, libbruls. Cheerio!

'Cereal in a box with a toy inside?'

'No, dear. We can't afford such luxury.'

I like Wheaties, but they're always so expensive.

Then I realized I could just buy cheaper Raisin Bran and pick the raisins out.

But I also like Raisin Bran, and that would just be wasting it.

I like Cheerios, but oats give me a sour stomach. Same with lucky charms. I just get nasty belches for 2-3 hours after. But Honey Nut Cheerios doesn't bother me.

Worst of all is there are no prizes in cereal any longer. I could gladly deal with all of the aforementioned inconveniences if there was just a prize at the bottom of the box.

When prizes return, I'll have a reason to celebrate.

I'm not a cereal person but my favorite (and I know this sounds weird) are dry Cheerios no milk. I just get a handful out of the box and crunch it up in my mouth and savor the taste of oats. It's barbaric but sublime. Swish it down with some muscadine juice if needed

Steel cut oats instant. Or use for overnight oats with strawberries with milk. Not the crap they try to pass off as milk. You know the left over mixture from processing other foods they didn't know what to do with so they strained,  homogenized, packaged and marketed it as a healthy alternative to cows milk. Then told us cow farts will destroy the earth as we know it because you're evil and touch yourself if you drink cows milk. Honey Nut Cheerios are great.

Buckwheat is only a pseudo-cereal, so I guess it doesn't count.

I was allowed wheaties or shredded wheat as a kid. Every now and then a box of corn pops would appear and my dad would eat half the box the day we got it. I got fat anyways.

Doesn't matter which cereal, it has to be soggy in the milk first. Change my mind.

Flew into KC for business late and got to hotel reaaalllll late - no food anywhere, but they had some little Raisin Bran boxes out in the locked up breakfast bar - I ate them, like 3 of them.  In the morning and throughout work I had to keep going into a stall and doubling over to release world record setting emissions of flatulence.

I hate National Cereal Day. I think it's dumb, and it should be banned.

Yes, I'm a cereal killer.

I have been eating hot swiss cereal for 25 years and would only choke down the pasty preprocessed cardboard cereal that Mrs Nocrash and most of you eat if I had nothing else.
Whole oats, wheat germ, raisens, craisens, dates, chopped walnuts, and brown sugar in hot milk or water.  Make it in large batches. Take with me when travelling.

My wife loves grape nuts crunchy, and sounds like she is eating gravel.

That sounds really good and healthy. But wtf are craisens? cranberries?

Yes dried cranberries. Adds tartness. Chopped dried apricots are divine in cereals but they are very difficult to chop as they are gummy.

That's good for you! Did you never see the commercials they used to have about Cheerios and heart health?
I eat them as a snack a lot.

Plain Cheerios only, of course.

I used to love them, too. Can't eat them now. Without a colon they wouldn't digest enough and send me to the ER.

And that's today's TMI, folks!

Shredded wheat when I still drank milk. Now it is oatmeal made with water plus blueberries or pecans, walnuts, raisins, cinnamon, berries, applesauce to sweeten . However my Wife feels like making it. Plus, fruit bowl !
I have lost 80 pounds in a couple of years since retirement and been fortunate to keep the weight off.

It totally had the Donkey Kong and Pac-Man cereals when I was a kid. Did they come with T-shirt iron-ons at one point? I vaguely remember having some as a kid.

Really? Pretty much every American parent I've known give their kids Cheerios as their first solid snack food because it's gentle on the digestion.

I like Cheerios, but haven't had them in years as they are guaranteed to give me heartburn.
