They have got to be the easiest cookies to make. Why would you not go from scratch?

I don't understand this; these mixes aren't that much easier than making them from scratch. If I want easy, fresh chocolate chip cookies, I'm buying the refrigerated dough.

When I make cookie dough, I make extra, roll it into balls, and freeze it. Even easier!

There is less measuring.  And with baked goods precise measurements are kind of important.  So with these mixes you pretty much can't go wrong.

Well, he doesn't seem to have any teef.  So maybe he'd like the ones that stay soft.

I saw an episode of Martha Stewart's old show and she had Cookie Monster on. He wouldn't stop eating the cookies she was making so when the show came back from commercial, Cookie was tied to a chair. She goes "Now Cookie, if you struggle, it just gets tighter!" My son looks at me and says "Well, I guess we always knew we'd hear her say that some day."

I'll take any excuse to post this link to a few years back where the Cookie Monster did an "Ask Me Anything" on Reddit to promote the Yellow Feather Fund.

About 10 years ago we had an exchange student from Italy. He had never had chocolate chip cookies before. He'd had chocolate ones or with chunks but never the toll house cookies. He said that he had never seen anything like that in his town (he lived near Bari). He absolutely loved them. We sent him him back to Italy with 2 large ziplock bags of cookies, a bag of chips and a bag of brown sugar because he had never seen it back home. He said that when he made a batch for his family they raved and said he should get stuff to make more and sell them.

People make cookies from store-bought cookie dough?

I thought it was just for eating the dough by the spoonful 'cause you're too lazy to make the dough.

They forgot one option:

Walk two blocks to the nearest Subway, and buy a chocolate chip cookie... or buy several for later, and pop one in the microwave for 10 seconds before eating it.

You got the chips right, but the best recipe comes on the Crisco.

This.  Made a double batch a couple of days ago.  I don't buy any Nestle' product, but that is still the best.  Maybe a touch extra salt and dark chocolate chips (not Nestle's) and walnuts.   From the cookie dough raw to those things still warm and melty from the oven.   Didn't have quite enough brown sugar so I topped it off with some muscovado sugar I had.

I used to think there was no such thing as a bad chocolate chip cookie (unless it's one that has been polluted by walnuts), but was recently proven wrong.

I had breakfast with my parents and my dad bought one of the cookies that the place sells. I took one bite, and it was just a mouthful of flour with a couple of chocolate chips.

Homebaked, using dark brown sugar and double the vanilla, FTW.

NO NUTS! Why do people insist on ruining chocolate chip cookies and brownies with nuts? Especially walnuts. Blergh.
