Wasn't that the issue with Turner's short reign?

No, they pretty much tried to do it in house. Which led to the terrible idea of Steve Nash being a studio analyst.

My understanding is that CBS is using the same studios that the Premier League use for a lot of their stuff in London. It's why so many of the play by play people are the same ones we hear on NBC.
