For me, it didn't work and I had to Teams call the IRS so they could compare my passport with my driver's license and my face on the webcam.


That happening hundreds if not thousands of times a day gets old real quick.

my wife couldn't register because she does not have a phone account in her name.  Seems to be lots of fail around that ID.me program.

I finally got through the ID.me BS and got an account. It didn't help, other than them sending a letter asking for more information. The IRS still isn't answering their phones, and the farkers are still processing my return from last year.

How about the copies you sent to the FBI, CIA, Homeland Security? (Guessing.)
