Murder. Pure and simple.

Ooh, I saw this movie. We all die horribly.

They were only waiting for that moment to arrive?

Why are people so scared of blackbirds? They're easily bested by a shotgun

Flock of birds flying low. A predator swoops down and the flock flies down to escape. A few especially stupid birds kill themselves flying into the ground.

That's wild. I thought this would be a repeat but it's not and the suspected cause is the same. The video makes it look like they got spooked by a predator from above.

'Cause while you're distracted shooting at the blackbirds, the eagle shows up:

I love animals.  Birds are amazing! But they have these flocks of thousands of black birds (I think starlings) here in Texas. I can't help but feel uneasy driving and walking by them. A constant chorus of chirps and the feeling Alfred Hitchcocks Birds is about the happen in real life.

420 blackbirds?  That's dope.

(And with Dog as my witnesses, I didn't even see the next post down about the Jamaican bobsled team.)

Rare 420 trifecta...uhhh, what were we talking about again?

If you slow the video down it's simply carefully orchestrated flock movement,
They just hate the family in the yellow house and it's a bird drone strike

Birds call that the #45 formation.

Leader takes the whole flock straight into the dirt.

It's a sign the magnetic poles are going to reverse.

Or chemtrails, or something.

Mindless mob murder

And a surprising number of news outlets are saying that the birds dropped dead in flight, despite the fact that the video shows nothing of the sort.
And of course the nutters love this description, since they can blame 5G, chemtrails, Roundup, flying monkeys.....

Murmuration went directly downwards, and the birds in the lead suffered from Controlled Flight into Terrain.

The thing about AIR is that it's always in motion. When a big downdraft pushes through and there's a murmuration inside that pocket, they are flying along inside a pocket that's being pushed down rapidly. That pocket splashes against the ground, and anything solid inside the pocket suddenly has to fend for itself with gravity. The air swoops out the sides, and the solids, well, DON'T.

yeah, they are alive when they, they didn't die in the air.

Reminds me of the time a flock of pigeons dived when a hawk flew over the Interstate and kamikazed into my car.

Heard of this but seeing this for the first time definitely makes me sad.  It makes me think how insanely fragile even our species is but still does insanely stupid things.

/Do we have a big enough pie crust to make the best of it?
//Perhaps make a new movie from this?
