Team GB's sled doing their best impression of Boris Johnson's government... tipsy.

(You get no points for guessing where they tipped over. They were OK and got out of the sled on their own power.)

Tonight, the women of Canada and the United States will battle for supremacy on the ice. But not on the hockey rink. On the curling sheet.

Canada needs to win tonight, along with its next two games, to have a realistic shot at the medals. The US has only one game remaining after tonight and probably needs to win both to lock up a spot.

Thanks, to desertgeek for the daily updates. We appreciate all you do.

Good curling. Go Canada.

At the curling venue, USA looked like they were setting up for a big score, CAN made a great triple take-out to leave one Canadian rock at the edge of the 12-foot. Peterson could not blank the end and was forced to take 1.

USA up 1-0 after 1.

There is major hockey tonight and given this thread, we have made a vital fark.com mistake that i just tried to rectify.

It is Jagr's birthday and of course, 50 years ago, we he left that vagina...it was Tuesday.

Wife realized it was his 50th while we were talking Crosby's 500th

Major hockey birthday. Just get too excited when it is time to celebrate Jagr. I mean, he could show up and randomly just play in the men's tournament tonight and I wouldn't be stunned they let him break COVID protocol

I've noticed when Tara Peterson uses the "backwards sweeping" where she faces away from the rock's direction of travel, she has to keep swiveling her head around to see what rocks may be in her way. She really needs a rear-view mirror like cyclists wear.

Her sister, Tabitha, has been left with several very difficult shots so far in this game. The US can't put together enough good shots to score multiple points.

US takes 1 in the 4th. It's 4-2 Canada.

Huh....ya know, that is true. Granted, I learned well into my adulthood, but I still did a lot of learning with poles, I think to help with my balance. But yeah, much without. Good point.
