There were entire movies about it in the 1980s.

This political bullshiat is so tiresome. One minute Trump is sucking off Russia, the next minute, Biden isn't standing up for the Ukraine, which I understand Milla Jovovich and Mila Kunis are from but they're with us now so why do we give a shiat?

Just goes to show what four years of Trump licking Putin's boots does to a major political party's collective psyche. Tough to imagine even Dubya's GOP bending over for Russia like this.

Republicans use to find draft dodging and raw-dogging porn stars inappropriate before also.

2022-01-28 11:52:34 AM
Every GOP civil war since the 80's has resulted in a just as powerful but more extreme GOP.

The GOP used to actually have a published party platform. Now, it's basically based of Putin's propaganda and they CLEARLY are in Tucker's ear.

In Dubya's day it was "Woo! America is #1!" Now it's "I don't care whose boot it is as long as I can lick it."

"What's happening with Russia and Ukraine would never have happened under the Trump administration. Not even a possibility!"

Lying liar lies what?  Does he really think if he were in power, Russia wouldn't be making these overtures?

Or would he just let them invade because Hunter Biden?

Republicans could reliably be counted on to choose their own side.

And, on occasion, that was sometimes also America's side.

The side that's with Russia and the side that's waiting for a bigger offer from Russia?

Yes, yes a gop civil war. We know how adamantly they struck to their values and beliefs even if it means not toeing they party lines. Such tough! Much maverick.

Remember Manafort's influence on the "platform" at the Republican Convention summer of 2016? They've been licking the Pu-taint ever since.

This is Putin's plan all along. To invade Ukkraine in TFG's 2nd term. Now, Joe is throwing a wrench in the plans but they will still try to keep to the plan of taking control of Ukraine's massive wealth of resources.

Every time that party has an internal struggle, it turns crazier. The cancer has thoroughly metastasized, and there is no saving the patient at this point.

They are technically correct. If bunkie was in power he would not help Ukraine. He would be ordering welcome mats for Putin.

Ukraine, not "the Ukraine." "The Ukraine" is short for "The Ukranian Soviet Socialist Republic" which Ukrainians will point out to you they most definitely are not.

Putin's allies use "the Ukraine" to suggest that it's still a part of a Russian empire.

I had always thought Kunis was Greek. Was surprised to find out she was Ukrainian and that english was her second language.

Ah, for the days when Republicans eschewed communism, flag desecration, government handouts and placed nation before party.  Now, any Johnny Two Tooth can embrace Putin, wave an American flag with an AR-15 on it and cash his welfare check before forwarding 10% of it to Make America Great Again.

Russia is no longer Communist.  It's now exactly their aspiration.  A mix of oligarchy, chaos, and dictatorship by a strong man who hates the gays.

Remember just this summer CNN crying because Biden actually pulled troops out of Afghanistan, they are the biggest chickenhawks in the industry today. Whatever their spin is on this editorial I am sure it involves subtle hints as to why a war involving Ukraine is a good idea.
