But it's Southwest, so you'll still have to line up to punch the flight attendant.

I fly Southwest, a lot.  A few years ago they had an employee recognition promotion and sent out coupons for customer's to hand out to gate agents, flight attendants, etc... who did a good job. Kinda like a yelp review for their employees.   Employees who received them recorded them for bonuses/gifts/recognition for doing a great job.

It was awesome.  Get on the plane, take a seat by a flight attendant and give him/her one of the cards and say thank you for doing an awesome job.     Free beer for the entire flight.

Last flight on Southwest I took before all this shiat started I had a drink ticket which was pretty sweet. No assholes on the plane, either.

I love flying southwest. Great employees, comfy seats, cheap flights. Plus live TV for free and a decent library of on demand entertainment

I dislike flying, mostly due to the boredom and dealing with the airport, but Southwest makes it relatively painless. The worst airline I've flown is a tie between United and American Airlines.

Is that a drunk pilot joke, Subby?

Because I have a friend who flies long-distance commercial flights for a carrier that will remain unnamed.

He's in his mid-50's. When he's on the clock he's as sober as a judge. See him on a two-week off-period? Holy shiat, I'm a 38yo alcoholic and I can't keep up with him.

Delta does that as well; I receive two per year when they send my SkyMiles renewal. Of course, for the last couple of years they've been stacking up since pretty much all of my Delta destinations are places like NRT, PEK, PVG, etc.

I used to like flying Southwest, but in the last 13 months I haven't had a song on time flight, ended up in Indianapolis while flying to Chicago and got to sleep in the airport, and then had my flight to Chicago cancelled twice in a 24 hour period. And during that last event I couldn't get through to customer support through any method.

Fool me 9 times....

They are aware, of course, that this could lead to passengers developing a drinking problem.
