(CBS News)   Are there any stories you regret not sharing with fellow Farkers? Subby still wishes they had shared this story of 91 year old woman living with her twin sister and husband from ten years ago   (cbsnews.com) divider line

Jesus subs, at first blush I thought you meant this was a personal story that you were connected to in some way.  Took me like 5 takes to realize you just meant you regretted not submitting it for our approval when it was fresh.

My Dad's first cousin.  Her and her partner that day worked security for State of Michigan at the capitol.  They got in a fight and shot each other to death over top of their vehicle.

The behind the scene is that my Dad's cousin was this big, dyke looking (maybe gay?  never know for sure) burly outspoken feminist woman.  Nice, hilariously funny, but hard for your average redneck straight man to handle.  Her and this guy were bitter enemies.

Years before, her father found out that he had cancer and went into his garage and shot himself.  Canute (such a name!) knew about it and put a bullet in her desk with a note saying "You should do what your father did".

Anyway, they really hated each other and for some reason the idiots that they worked with decided to put them together on that fateful day. Both got out of the car, leaned on the roof and shot each other dead.

I would have paid serious money to have a video/audio of what they were talking about before hand and to know which one pulled their weapon first.  I would have loved to hear the argument that lead up to it.

Does regretting some stories I've told count?

My pal Bob was heartbroken when his girl dumped him.  One of her girlfriends decided to ease his pain with a sympathy fark, and they began to go at it.

In a moment of inspiration, Bob grabbed her hairbrush and began spanking her with it.
Until she cried out: "No!  STOP!!  ...  Use your hand!"

 i have one.

UP murder

these are two of my cousin's kids.     so I guess one of them was all farking wasted, and was out in the woods, playing Rambo or something.     his kid brother was kind of worried about him, because he was extremely high and acting strange.   Anyway, somehow or another they found each other, and Rambo shot his brother him right in the head and didn't even remember it later.
I guess he'd been acting really strange for a while, and his mother was on the way to see him and try to get him under control when the murder occurred.  I heard that she immediately disowned him, although i hope she rethought that.   i haven't heard any more about it, but I dont know if I want to.

My cousin had numerous personal problems over her life, and I think her ex raised the boys mostly.  But she finally got her shiat together and had just gotten married again about a year ago.

This would make a hell of a book, but damned if I would touch it.

I can't wait to tell my husband about this. We have been wondering about it for years. Thank you!

I've only submitted a handful of stories over the years and each time I think it's going to turn into a giant thread about a great story but instead it never makes it that far and goes right into the dustbin.

It's weird when you grow up and start hearing stories that make you realize your parents' lives were a soap opera.

This place has been here for me when I was losing my mind while in the Army and after I got out... through the death of my father and just about everything else. I'm not sure what I would have done without you crazy farkers. I regret nothing I have said here about personal stuff...

I HAVE said things I regret and through the help of people here i've learned to be more compassionate and understanding. I'm still an asshole in many ways, but I definitely stop and try to think about stuff more before vomiting things out.

I guess that's worth $5 per month. :)

Yeah, so the man was a good old white boy, thinking women should be home cooking, cleaning and having babies.  My Dad's cousin was a very progressive modern woman.  Feminist to the core, loved a good argument and had a wicked sense of humor.

The back/back story, there were 5 girls in the family, and the father desperately wanted a son.  So basically he took this one daughter and raised her like a son.  All the other sisters were girly girls and here is this one big burly tomgirl.  So I suspect that was part of the reason she was so butch.  And so opinionated especially when it came to women's rights.

I imagine someone named Canute Findsen was a old fashioned white man who had no room for loud funny feminists.  The family tried to sue the department for putting them together but it didn't really go anywhere.  But it sounds like he incessantly made jokes about her weight and basically tried to put her down at every turn.  Sad that his wife was left with young kids.  Sadder still that he couldn't just STFU and let a woman do her thang.

It appears the twins married two brothers, which is why they both ended up with the surname Stevens. Kind of rude of her not to dig up the brother-in-law and invite him to the party.
