Well, I'm old, and I watch a lot of sports, news, and MeTV. The good original stuff seems to be streamed but I'm not buying all that. That leaves OTA cop, doctor, and comic book shows otherwise. Oh, and "reality" in case I need some.

We've been watching a lot of GETtv.  Every night it's Walker Texas Ranger, then Kojak, then Rockford Files, then Charlie's Angels.  Kojak and Rockford Files are awesome to see NYC of the good old days.  Walker Texas Ranger is just bad staged fighting drug dealers yet somehow amusing and I needn't say anything about why to watch Charlie's Angels.

I only watch MeTV for Svengoolie. I don't think I could handle leaving the channel on all day, because the commercials make me feel like I could drop dead at any moment.

"Are you over 25 and your bones are disintegrating and all your vital organs are shutting down? Try BioZapp home therapy! Just gently insert the electrodes into every orifice each night before you go to bed, and even if it doesn't manage to buy you one more week of quiet suffering in this sad veil of tears, at least the painful side effects will make you welcome the sweet release of death!"

Young Sheldon is terrible, and for CBS to be flaunting its success like this says a lot about our society in general.  Hey CBS?  Wanna really put your money where your mouth is?  How about showing the viewership stats of your best Paramount+ streaming comedy against Peacock's The Office, and lets see who's got more viewers.

That's what I thought...

Yeah but at least you get that time back watching Mike Lindell whine about "cancel culture".

Has he made that a slogan in his ads now? I always fast forward through them.

You might almost say I'm manually canceling them. And I don't get all the complaints about doing that. It greatly enhances my viewing experience.

Same holds true with the all old game show channel BUZZR.

I'm 48, and growing up, I remember CBS having almost nothing but *really boring* shows. I think the only one I remember watching was "Newhart".

It never got better. They have always been the blandest of the broadcast networks. And it's not even close.

Except they've been edgier in late night than NBC since Letterman moved.

The only show I've watched on CBS from beginning to end... ever.  And I'm 49 years old.  Says a lot about CBS show quality.

Holy shiat, I had to sit through a few of those. At the end of the episodes (I saw) they all sit around the dinner table and talk about how awesome it is to be cops.

Ben Garrison could have come up with a better name.

He'd have to have a label on him the whole time.

Has anyone who's watched the original BBC/HBOMax Ghosts watched the CBS remake? I love the original series and the trailers didn't look too promising for the American version.

Lots of talk about total vewers in that story, nothing on key demo, the latter of which is usually what is associated with ratings. CBS is typically the most-watched network, that is no surprise or new development.

Okay, take out all the subtlety, cleverness, and charm. Add American loudness, obnoxiousness, and a cast chosen mostly on how pretty they look.

That's CBS' Ghosts.

I think your laundry list is a mixed bag between CBS and NBC.

Whereas CBS now only has like a dozen NCIS shows and a couple FBI shows.  And icky reboots of various 70s and 80s shows.

On ABC the shows have different names, but are also annoyingly linked too, I think. I think there are a bunch of Grey's Anatomy spinoffs.  Or not.  I really don't care.

Fun fact.  I have never watched a single episode of ANY of those Chicago shows.  Any of them. Ever.

Also, Bones wasn't actually that good.  It was basically the most watered-down over the top version of forensics, with tons of faux-quirky bullshiate tossed on.  It was like a procedural written for twelve year olds.  Or maybe by twelve year olds.  One of those.

I never said I didn't have the mentality of a twelve year old. I didn't say I had "Bones" on my favorites. But in the realm of police procedurals, it's entertaining from what I've seen.

I have no idea what show is on what channel.

On the other hand, CBS has crappy shows such as "Bob Hearts Abishola," which should have been cancelled two years ago if Americans had good comedic tastes (Jay Leno is still working, isn't he?).
