I personally think we should mandate vaccinations for families for children to attend school in person.

These people don't want to care and teach thier own kids so they will eventually do it because they are selfish.

Also ,we have seen that employers want kids back in school more than anyone. They will mandate vaccines because it affects them. That is how we get the stubborn ones.

Well, to play devil's advocate, I'm from Lyon, FR and there is a city nearby called Vénissieux, which has an islamic quarter. In that quarter, women are intimidated, spit on, yelled at, and even physically assaulted if they go out in public without wearing that. They dare not go into certain cafés, stores, and restaurants without being accompanied by a man. To bad many won't understand this, but this video is eye-opening to the problem of islamism in certain areas of France. Things are a lot different there than they are in the US in terms of integration into the population. I have the unique perspective of having lived in Lyon and also near Dearborn, MI where there is the largest Muslim population in the US. What you see in Dearborn and wht you see in Vénissieux  are very different. Here is the video, if you understand French, you'll find it disturbing and an outrage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jW0rj7tIbaM

"Muslim no go zones" don't exist. Since I don't understand French, I can only make a supposition of what they are saying to each other, but it looks like a group of Karens yelling at the Muslims running that restaurant!

France seems to want everyone to just give up their religion, except for Christians who still get government funding for church buildings and are allowed to wear cross necklaces despite that being not required by the Christian religion (unlike Jewish head covering for men and Muslim head covering for women, which is required, and is banned by France). Not only has France been banning religious clothing, but also forcing Halal markets to serve pork and alcohol. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/halal-supermarket-paris-pork-alcohol-closure-threat-islam-a7173286.html Seems like France wants to cleanse the religion from the people.

So your solution to women being harassed is to tell women what they can and cannot wear, rather than to stop the harassment?

Did I say someone couldn't wear something? I simply presented the fact that in certain areas that if a woman doesn't wear that, they are subjected to abuse - neither of which is good. I can understand my govenment's motivation in that if there's a law, then men are wrong right to force women to dress in a certain way. Are the laws misplaced? Probably, but the situation is not as simple as what is presented. The video I posted is from the perspective of opressed muslim women. They are sick of the opression from their own men, not that of the government. Laws on what people wear are not going to fix the problem, but I understand where they come from.

Funny enough, from your description, I didn't know if it was going to be men harassing women for not wearing a face covering, or if it was going to be men harassing women for wearing a face covering.

France has lots of examples of both.

The common problem seems to not be the women, as the same results happen regardless of face covering.

So your solution to this situation is banning women from wearing the hijab/niqaabs? How will that prevent these men from telling women they shouldn't be there?

You know in New Jersey, we have one of the biggest Muslim populations in the US, but New Jersey also has a law that bans discrimination in places of public accommodation. If that restaurant existed here, restaurant can be cited and sued by New Jersey for preventing customers from being served on the basis of sex, and still we have people of various religions openly wearing the symbols of their religion.

Plus the niqaab works just as well as a cloth mask.

The thread is about COVID prevention measures. Niqaabs work as well as any cloth mask. France and Quebec wants women to cover their face at the current time to protect themselves, but still specifically ban the niqaab. I find that funny.

Just pointing out that no shirt, no shoes, no mask, no vaccine, no service is good policy; but find France and Quebec still wants to ban a specific mask by certain Muslim women who mask up even when they're not asked to!
