Weird. This same thing happened twice in in my town last week. People were posting videos from the Ring cams and such on social media. It was crazy loud and shook people's houses. No explanation has been given. I mean, it's aliens obviously. But no one ever listens to me.

If the nuke landed on West Monroe the entire state would significantly improve.

Not far from the Wagin' Cajun I see. The only time I've ever seen someone take an upright vacuum cleaner to a gas station parking lot to get the trash and loose gravel.

Good example of Republican governance.   It's what they want to turn the rest of America into.  A polluted cesspool.

With all the chemical plants and refineries gone and the swamps vaporized, it would certainly smell better.

I lived about half an hour's drive from Port Fourchon. If that place is nuked, my hometown would be gone or at least severely damaged.

Thank God I moved away.

I cant relax now.  I felt the weight of the world lifted off my shoulders when I did think the Louisiana had been nuked.  Now I know it isn't and cannot relax again.  Thanks subby.

I'm still not sure if Union Carbide had organized labor or if they accidentally superglued all of the drill bits together.

In spite of all of these booms, plants like this one have some VERY low workers comp rates.

Holy shiat I actually have a related CSS.

So I worked in both nuclear plants in Louisiana. Waterford 3 is the one by New Orleans. I was on nightshift, and one night I drove in, they closed the road behind me. I think one more car made the turn then the police were putting up sawhorses. There were cops and firetrucks all up and down the road, but that road is chemical plants as well as oil/gas, so I couldn't figure out who exactly was having the problem.

Anyway, I made the next turn, got to work at the nuclear plant down the block. Staggered into work with a skull bending headache. Told supervision that it was so bad I was seeing spots. Supervisor grabbed me and stuck me under plant ventilation. Five minutes later, it's gone. I'm flabbergasted.

Turns out, their neighbor the chemical plant was leaking. And the plant's ventilation was managing to filter it out.

Waterford 3 has more SCBA stations than any other plant I've ever been in, because of that chemical plant.

Anyway, fast forward a few weeks, I get my oil changed. They call me to the door of the garage bay and one of the techs has gloves on up this elbows, and my car's air filters held out at arm's length. My car's air filters were all highlighter yellow. I mean neon eyefark yellow. The techs look at me like "we have questions" and I was like hahahahah hell no toss them, I drove through a goddamn chemical plant leak.

/yup
//no idea what the leak was
///this was 2012 I think? Might have been 2014

Not nuked.

So, tell us, what did the plant produce, and what crap is being spread in the air around the entire area, and is the company going to be liable for any diseases it causes? (Yeah, right, they'll spend huge amounts on lawyers to fight that.)
