oh nothing really helpful at all, the dudes dead and irrelevant, we can and mostly already did forget  his existence and moved on.
And she's soaking time and resources to do what? Run her virtue flag up the pole and be cheered, that all.
She could a done the good deed she did and not bother saying a dam thing publicly about it.

Hefner checked out just in time to beat the #metoo movement.  It would not have been kind to him or his legacy.  I mean... Seemed like a dumb and obvious clickbait article until it involved the term ransom. There is no overlooking that, or dismissing it with the classic cop-out 'it was a different time'.  Like grabbing stewardesses asses as they came down the aisle. 'it was a different time'.   Nope.  That was never OK.  Not yesterday or 100 years ago.

B-b-but, I used to watch "The Girls Next Door" on E! and it looked like everyone was so happy and having so much fun.

None of this is surprising.

When I was younger I thought it would be awesome to go to a party at the mansion. As I got older the idea just seemed gross, like a bunch of old, rich, wrinkly dudes trying to bang as many hot, young women as possible, or a swinger's key party, and that's it. IIRC, Hefner's sons did a joint interview a few years back where they both said they were grossed out by the shenanigans they witnessed at the parties and avoided them.

The thing of it was, Hefner sold himself and was sold as a "Everyone is free to explore sex safely" kinda guy.  We were fed he was just fighting for people to have sex free of shame, stigma and restrictions.

He wasn't like those old time pornographers who entrapped, ensnared and drugged vulnerable young ladies with promises of riches, fame and access to the stars. Women were choosing to do this.

Instead we find out, Hughe Hefner was the biggest controlling pimp out there. Plying women with drugs, blackmailing them and controlling their lives.

Technically disposable cameras use film and negatives. Polaroid/Kodak made instant development pictures

Probably Playboy centerfolds playing cribbage.  I know if I ever read the word cribbage in their turn ons section, I would definitely never wish to see them naked again.   A man must have standards and ironically, I must have them, too.
