He's not prepping. He was angry that nobody was letting him inside and was preparing a bonfire to register his displeasure. Hopefully they'll open the door for him more quickly next time.

I had a cat whose toys would disappear regularly.  I could never figure out where the stash was.  A few years later I got a new bed.  Taking the box spring out, I heard this sound coming from inside.  Peeking into a hole in the lining, there was about 100 cat toys.  I dug them out and the cat acted like it was Christmas, zoomed around the place at 50 miles an hour, bouncing off walls and came back to collapse in the pile of toys.
