Actually, that's the whole thing, he pretended he was more like Larry Hogan than Trump during the campaign, and it worked. Nobody who actually knew about him believed it, but he avoided comparisons to Trump, said he wouldn't require removal of school mask mandates, punted on his stance on abortion, and ran hard on CRT and education.

My county just voted to rescind the mask mandate in schools thanks to this asshole. There aren't strong enough words for me to accurately describe what I want to happen to him.

Not only that, i've seen folks declare him a "Lame duck" and thus promote voting third party / abstaining from voting this time around.

The only reason I can think for such illogical behavior is they are so invested in being anti-establishment that they honestly don't want to be in control cause it wrecks their reason for being.

God, I am so sick of that stupid electioneering statement. There are VERY GOOD reasons why governments do not run like businesses. First, and foremost, they are not designed to make profits. Second, they are supposed to provide for the general welfare of all people not just the owners, shareholders, or workers of the company. The list can go on and on and on.

I immediately cringe when I hear that from any candidate, even one that I like.

This is what we all said was going to happen. It was clear from the start that he was a Trump clone, and the fact that he would never answer any questions about what he would do as governor were evidence thereof. In fact, we had journalists with hidden cameras getting him on video saying that "I can't say my true stance on abortion without upsetting the Independents" and things of that nature. We all said this and were labeled "hysterical" by the complicit corporate media.

We were proven correct in literally zero days.

I live hear and agree with the sentiment. fark this state and everyone in it. My family is fine, my family is safe, and I will do everything that I can to protect them.

I did everything I could to prevent this from happening, everyone who couldn't be arsed to vote because they weren't "inspired" enough or whatever can eat shiat.

I'm in survival mode now, I have compassion fatigue. If you didn't care about me enough to prevent this, I don't care about you enough to save you from it - and that doesn't even include the other half of the state who wanted this to happen - they can all eat a metric ton of triceratops shiat, for all I care.
