Oh, no one thought he WASN'T going to pass up the opportunity to grift off this. And what's sad is that people are going to open their wallets, while screaming to cut funding to things that will directly benefit them. Because they're f*cking morons.

Just a simple stonewall fund; if you stonewall the Select Committee the ACU will make funds available.

You know, hush money.

"We are certainly not going to assist anyone who agrees with the mission of the committee and is aiding and abetting the committee," Schlapp said. He noted that the fund withholds "the right to make decisions over whether someone gets assistance or doesn't."

"I am in communication with [Trump's] team about those decisions," he said.

Yeah, definitely all going to Trump.  Duh.  Anyone who testifies under subpoena? Aiding and abetting.  Anyone who ever said anything about the Committee being less evil than Satan?  Agreeing with mission of the Committee.

I seriously cannot imagine the Trump Team authorizing money to go to anyone who isn't actively trying to protect him at the expense of their own life or career.  Even then, it's a f*cking long shot.

This sounds like obstruction.  Kinda sounds like bribery.

the IRS should have fun with this.

No matter what you say while you're breaking the law the act isn't covered my the 1st Amendment.  Which is why you can tell this is nothing but another Trump slush fund.

You know, for such a "wealthy individual (one)", he certainly always seems to be hitting the gofundme pages...

In other news, TFG paid a lawyer.  Must have been excruciating.  "This isn't my money, right?  You're sure I can't make this my money?"

Two things:
(1) Trump is going to take that money;
(2) Hang all of the traitors.

Yes, if you are rich. If you are filing for the Earned Income Credit or a Child Tax Credit, you better get it all right. They don't play around with poor people.

If you don't testify, we will help with your legal bills. If you do testify, you're on your own.

Sincerely,

The Mafia.

I remember when he said he would pay rally-goers legal bills/jail fines if they beat up rally protestors.
Good times, good times.

It's worse than that. They were made morons. They buy into being morons.

It reminds me of a back and forth from No Country for Old Men. One sheriff says things are so bad they're selling drugs to school children.
The other sheriff says "It's worse than that"
How's that?, the first sheriff says
"School children buy them"

"If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you?" Trump said, drawing cheers and laughter. "Seriously, OK? Just knock the hell - I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. I promise. They won't be so much, because the courts agree with us too - what's going on in this country."

Schlapp got his fingers into the pile.

And there goes the pile. *poof*.

LOL No.

Donnie's gonna keep all that money for himself.

Then remember that a number of the families of 1/6ers are probably not Trumpers. They're gonna donate to this thing thinking it's gonna help their family, & when they find out it isn't, they're gonna sue the shiat out of Donnie.

The families might lose, but Donnie will have to spend time & money for lawyers for that suit & probably won't be able to use this money for that suit.

Well, I for one donated to this noble cause to defend our patriots. Now excuse me, I should really go address this massive head wound I've suffered.

SuburbanCowboy: Wait, I thought Trump was a billionaire....

On paper, if you count all the property values of stuff that he 'bought' for laundering purposes. It's not like he can really touch any of that revenue, because there are waaaay too many Russians who will do a lot worse to him and his kids than the DOJ will think of. He gets his allowance, and whatever crumbs he can scrape from the table in side grift, but he's not going near the stuff he bought for the Russian mob.

God, this is like a literal snake oil salesman pulling into some small 1800s mid-Western town in his horse and wagon and announcing, "What I am selling is fake. But it does... [everything except for anything specific]" with 30% of the voting population stepping up and saying, "Sell me some, NOW!"

THIS.

I thought naming this the "First Amendment Fund" was a nice touch to try and get around that little detail.  Were "Treason Fund" and "Shouting Fire in a Crowded Theater Fund" already taken?

Exce-farking-lent.

This is exactly where I want the GOP spending shiat-tons of raised money. Expensive legal defense teams and high-priced PR campaigns.

More.

MORE.
