We plan to look internally first for the next lead counsel.

How big is the legal office at that school?

His only requirement is idealogical purity.

This asshole has been busy.  From the Richmond Times-Dispatch story about this:

Miyares has made a flurry of moves in his opening days on the job. On Friday night, his office urged the Supreme Court to overturn the landmark abortion decision, Roe vs. Wade.
Miyares also announced last week he was pulling Virginia from legal action seeking to defend the Environmental Protection Agency's plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from existing power plants. He said the plan was detrimental to the coal industry in Southwest Virginia.

The only limit they understand is the one they're forced to comply with.  Whatever they can get away with, they will try.

Given their obvious end game, you might want to start applying force a little earlier and a lot harder.

It's weird that this decision even comes from the AG's office rather than the universities.

Because there are a lot of crimes to do.

Republican AGs were part of the coup plot. Expect criminality from them, because the whole failed party acts like the mob now, valuing loyalty to a would-be autocrat rather than loyalty to America or our Constitution.

Are you kidding? How do you think those braindead voters got the idea that CRT was a thing at all? The media could have simply reported that this is not being taught in schools but instead, decided that a narrative of "should this be taught in schools?" was more profitable and look what happened. The mainstream public saw that coverage and assumed it was a thing that was actually happening.

Give them what they want while Biden controls the nukes.  First strike nuke the deepest red maga territory and then have Biden go on TV and say "now what, biatches?". Then if even a single maga harms even a single hair on a real human, just unleash nukes all across maga territory and annihilate the enemy.

Don't wait and "play fair" so the maga can get control of the nukes.  They WILL use them, and they won't have any remorse.  They are maga.

He's totally about the law since he started campaigning, and being AG, we get his vision of what the law is.  I doubt he's into compromise or negotiation so it's going to be a narrow hard-ass AG office the next for years.

The Virginia soccer mom (actual soccer mom) I talked to before the election:  I don't want my kids having to hear that white people are all bad!

Me:  I know you haven't read anything about CRT, at all, on your own, but I can tell you, the talking heads are wrong.  That's not what it teaches, not even close.  Now, let me ask you, do you know what 'redlining' is?

Her:  No.

Me:  It's the process of...

Her:  Yeah, voting Republican.  Sorry.

Me:  Head/wall.

Any person who actively impedes a Treason Bunny trial is ipso facto a Treason Bunny.

Some of the seditious insurrectionists may be guilty of lesser crimes, but those who support them do so knowingly and willfully and are thus guilty of a worser crime.

Hang on... If he fired the two lawyers from their university jobs, won't they be able to put in more hours for the Jan. 6 commission? It's not like Congress doesn't have its own staff budget or anything...

Terry McAuliffe was an uninspiring retread and a weak candidate.  That still doesn't make Youngkin an appealing option for anyone who's paying attention.  He was just smart enough to keep Trump at arms length.  You're right.  Voters there are getting what they deserve.  Good and hard I'm guessing.

The media is supposed to be the arbiter of what's true and what's bullshiat and in this case it decided that the clicks and views from team bullshiat was more important actually getting to the truth of the matter. People have to get their information from somewhere and if they are not given good information, they will not make good decisions.

At the end of the day it's easier for the networks to fill time with endless debates  on "should we be teaching our kids Critical Race Theory in elementary schools?" than it is to say "there isn't a single elementary school in the country where this is being taught." which only gets you about 20 seconds.

That's part and parcel of Republicans since Gingrich.  Create a brain drain and fill positions with yes men and true believers.  That way you can control any narrative and make sure people don't know what's actually going on.
