Tis the season to get confused about what sport people are talking about. "Dang, that's like... 6 touchdowns and she kicked an extra point?"

If there were nothing else in this planet on, I'm still not watching women's basketball. However, good for her, that is awesome!

I would have assumed that the previous record would have been from someone at either Uconn or Tennessee .

I feel sorry for female athletes who play in sports that have a male equivalent. No matter how good they are, it will always be like watching the junior varsity team play.

The only exceptions I can think of are tennis, where the women's matches are just as entertaining as the men's, and gymnastics, where the women's events are actually more entertaining than the men's.

I saw some clips of Women's Rugby the other day, and I'd watch the sh*t out of that.

Tennis is definitely one.

I have also noticed over my adulthood, that women's hockey has gotten much easier to watch as the skills have improved greatly.

Nah, they have too many other scorers in most seasons. Women's basketball is usually lower scoring so I'd guess the prior record was held by some star player somewhere that isn't as well known.

/reads article
//okay, two, and both were legit star players in women's hoops at that level
