#Metoo has finally gone #Toofar.  If a theater actor in a crappy cash grab play, who once had a guest role on Gilmore Girls, can't sexually harass without impunity, I no longer want to live in this world.  It's like Bill Cosby.  Sure he raped, but he used to wear funny sweaters and talk about Jello pudding FFS.  Cut the guy a break.

Playing Harry Potter on Broadway might be the greatest gig an up-and-coming actor could dream of. Unless you're up-and-coming all over your fictional wife.

Nice going. You probably killed the production and put 40 people out of work.

I'll just take the opportunity of this guy's transgressions to yell at clouds that "The Cursed Child" isn't nearly as terrible as advertised (although I've only read the book version and never seen the play). Sure it's unnecessary fan-fiction that includes way too much Snape and Dumbledore for a 20-years-later story, but it's also a nice heart-warming tale of outcasts bonding together to overcome the world's expectations and defeat Voldemort, yet again.

I can't hate it and I would bet the Broadway play is wizardly!

Exactly. Neither this guy or the actress playing his wife are big name actors that sell tickets. I guess if theaters are open and people are buying tickets they're buying because it's on Broadway and they want that experience.

We also would have accepted, "Happy Potter: The Snyder Cut"

I saw him in If/Then with Idina Menzel several years ago, so he's been around awhile. Weak singer (in my opinion anyway), so this probably would have been a good opportunity for him. Way to squander it, guy!

He could appeal to Rowling and get forced back in.

Not necessarily. The backers of the production based the financing on the main cast. Unless they can be assured the U.S. can fill the seats, they will pull the plug.

Everyone else is arguing with you about whether or not this will kill the production.

I want to argue with you about the idea that it takes only 40-something people to stage a Broadway show.

I don't know this theater, or the nitty-gritty on this show, but I'd definitely put a month of TF on there being at least twice that many jobs, or more, involved in the production.

Not if she's on a leave of absence and isn't at the theater...
