After 2+ years, they could probably keep the character and just get a different actor.
/never seen the show

I cannot watch this guy. He ruins everything he's in. How he still gets work is beyond me.

Rumor has it Disney hired him. They want him to play Dr. Doom again in "Fantastic Four: More Multiverse 4 Everyone!"

I'm only excited for the dance number with the kickline of HERBIEs.

I liked his character on Charmed...the storylines that he was given not so much.   Also, on Fantastic Four, I think he did a good job with Dr Doom, it was just the story was not so good as well as some casting choices...ie thinking it a good idea for Jessica Alba to speak lines instead of just looking pretty.

I only know him from Charmed. From the headline I thought he died.

My wife watches it so I've seen a decent amount of episodes. Writing him out will be a huge change for the show. The usual B plot for each episode revolves around him and his daughter, though I see they're sending the daughter to a farm upstate where she can run around and play all day. They'll be fishing around for other character development side plots for a while I guess.

He didn't ruin Nip/Tuck. Given that it was a Ryan Murphy joint, Nip/Tuck came pre-ruined.

Yup, it's an ironclad rule that a Ryan Murphy created show will be a train wreck by the end of the 2nd season

Abe Vigoda's Ghost: Is anyone on Fark old enough to watch shows on CBS?

Came in here wondering this, and I'm not young. The names of CBS shows always hit me like a fake movie title on a theater marquee in the background of a tv show: Blue Bloods, Seal Team, The Good Fight... I have no idea what any of these shows is about, haven't even seen a preview for any them, but Blue Bloods has apparently been on network television for 12 years and is going strong.

Ha! I really liked the first season and maybe part of the second. After that it just got too messed up and weird just for shock value. So your theory hold for an n of 1.

Nip/Tuck jumped the shark several times during its run.

They wrote out his Indian in-laws and Brother-in-Law who worked on the team after the first season and nary a word has ever been said about them again. His character was so 2 dimensional I'm not surprised, with moods of scowly, extra scowly and minor scowly when home, but then super-empathetic when talking someone down...

I'm not sad, neither is the wife.

I found him a good fit for the role, (never cared much for the white-trashy horsewoman the saddled the character with though). Let's see who they bring as replacement.

I remember when he was quarterback for the Chicago Bears.  Super Bowl Shuffle, indeed.  Sucks that that guy slammed him on the rurf and ended his career.

That's why Murpy is way better off doing these anthology things. Hell, even with American Horror Story, he has gone off the rails mid-season a few times, and those seasons are contained to one story.

He got to kiss Alyssa Milano, his acting doesn't matter.  :-P

The physical traits he applied for his character were too much. The mannerisms were so overdone thet became a distraction.
Hunched over from the shoulders (indicating that he is pondering), lip twerking & squinting to indicate that he is deep in thought. His portrayal was a caricature.    G'bye.

Yeah. Mark Harmon can continue to produce NCIS from behind the scenes. I like his replacement better. Harmon's Gibbs wasn't providing anything new, and has become passe.
