I do it in English and Spanish. My native language is English, but I'm pretty good at Spanish, but I find Spanish Wordle to be very difficult.

gopher321: is the Wordle the same for everyone every day?

Yes, which is the point of the share thing that shows the squares without the letters.

Or maybe you find yourself wanting a different twist. People have made the inevitable spin-offs, like Primel. Similar thing, but with 5 right primes instead of words.

Doesn't really scratch the same itch, IMO.

If you do it in a language you don't know, it's just Mastermind.

Sort of. Mastermind wouldn't tell you specifically which letters you have in the right place, though.

Fair 'nuff, though Word Mastermind didBlack clue: proper letter and location. White clue: Proper letter, wrong location.

Oh cool, hadn't seen that version before. Yeah, that's basically the same as Wordle.

Played it in Hungarian today -- got it in 5/6, but yikes.

The problem is the game won't let you play a random string of letters that is not a word.

Cool. I just got a 5 on the Portuguese one. Apparently it enters a tilde automatically, and I assume it does so with other diacritical markings.

I've found that TACOS is a good starter word in the Spanish version. Today, I got it in two.
