Watched it live. Allen is a privileged punk whose days are numbered.

And the number is 4, as in March 4th, when the Bulls next play the Bucks, in Chicago.

I watched this guy a lot with Memphis and he was doing so much better.  I almost thought that maybe he'd gotten over being a dickish young Dukie (around what seems to be a genuinely great group of young guys in Memphis).  Guess not.

Karma will hit him soon enough if the doesn't change his ways.

Not true, Subby. Burfict actually belonged in the NFL as a viable LB. Allen is nothing more than a third-rate goon without a discernible skill set. Frankly, he has no business in the Association, and proved it with that play.

He has no game so he has to remove others from the game to even the score.

JFC it's 2 points in the middle of the season in the middle of the third quarter, just surrender the layup ffs.

Yeah, you can argue that's just a normal hard foul but he definitely didn't need to do all that. It really sucks because Caruso broke his hand because of this and he's having a great year. One of the most disliked basketball players just hurt an NBA fan favorite, so that just sucks all around.

I was absolutely saddened and angry when we picked him up this offseason. He is such an absolute dick, and has proved it again and again this season with various plays. This foul made me so angry, and I really wish the NBA would suspend him for that for a long time and/or fine him more than just pocket change.

The veterans and coaches on the Bucks need to sit him down and tell him straight up to stop that bullsh*t or he's done.

After his childish BS in the NCAA, he deserved to be pushed around by the enforcers on the teams he played in the NBA. He hasn't been, and that's super frustrating.

Fork that. Between Duke and the NBA, this is the fourth such offense I've heard of this player committing. He's shown over and over again he's willing to play dirty. The Bucks should fire him immediately.

But where else are they going to find someone who motivates the team as well by slapping the floor?

Unfortunately there aren't many enforcers around anymore.  I suppose we could dig up Anthony Mason, Horace Grant or the Davis Brothers to show him a thing or two.

Not true, his dad gave him a 5 minute timeout one time when he pushed his sister.

Otherwise, you're correct.

Caruso isn't exactly NBA royalty but, the NBA has to come down hard (pardon the pun) on Allen.  He pulled this shiat in college, has done it here and there in the NBA but that was barely an "NBA play" and to the extent it was, it was dirty and Caruso is gone be out 7 weeks if everything goes well.

this can't be a 3 games and $5,000 fine situation, this needs to be 10 games minimum.  15.  hell, take a draft pick away even.

What did the people of Wisconsin do to deserve to have Rogers "and" Allen on their sports teams?

2022-01-23 12:14:24 PM
This sucks for the Bulls because they've been getting shredded with injuries the last two weeks right at the point where the schedule got difficult without the injuries.

And fark Grayson Allen. John Starks had more class than that punk. I hope he gets a 10 game suspension. The Bucks won't miss him.

/and the union shouldn't help with the appeal of someone who wants to play thugball

2022-01-23 12:56:26 PM
Yeah when you have a 5 minute YouTube compilation of your dirty plays in college, you're probably a dick and aren't going to change when you get to the pros.

3 more against the Bulls in the regular reason...he's going to get his comeuppance in March.  One of those Bulls that's on a 10-day or two-way contract will be a hero for at least one night.

Now there's a stark picture of the decline of an institution.

*sports doc voice* "there's a sometimes proud, sometimes ignominious tradition in the NBA of players who use physical intimidation to keep other teams in line.  Teams have been made to experience terror by physically imposing players like Charles Oakley, Bill Laimbeer and now . . . this goofy little acne-covered guy who trips people and then runs away."

They'd tell you but they can't remember.  That night was pretty blurry.

As a Jayhawk living in Durham county, I can say how happy it made me to get to the Final Four by Allen missing his senior year hero ball shot to close out regulation.  Even if we got slaughtered by Nova just like everyone else did.

2022-01-23 3:07:07 PM
That's a hard foul, at least a flagrant 1 because of the second contract, but almost every single NBA game has someone take a scary fall like that. It's unfortunate that Caruso got hurt, but I'll be shocked if Allen serves any more than a game or two suspension unless he's having an abnormally high season flagrant call level. Unfortunately most of the damage was probably done before Allen swung around to turn it into a flagrant at all.

Well, I mean....yeah. Find a shovel and some sort of anti-death device, and you got it.

Hey, we've still got Giannis and Yelich. Everything there on them points to good people.

This shiat bag has been doing this in the NBA, NCAA, and probably all through high school and the rest of his life. It's not like joining Duke was the likely starting point of this.

I'm not hoping someone goes full Kermit on Rudy T on him, but I won't shed a tear if it happens.

Somewhere , RIck Mahorn and Bill Laimbeer are having a round and laughing at the idea that NBA players aren't supposed to get hammered in the key.

He was suspended 1 game.

That's not even close to enough.

It's hard for me to think there are people that do not think he went for the ball initially, also think the second swipe looked like an attempt to prevent an "and one" especially in slow motion, turned out dangerous, the fall and injury was unfortunate but the refs description included "the hard fall" as to why it was upgraded to a flagrant 2, I hate "his history"  this is his only nba flagrant foul and has one tech in 4 years( one summer league flagrant)  amazes me his reputation with almost 4 years of nba play with not red flags comes up.

Chris paul, Patrick beverley, jae crowder, the Morris Brothers and probably many more are "dirtier" players in the nba

go to about 35 seconds can see left hand almost had the block, arm gets hooked momentum takes him back around swats with right hand, looks terrible, especially because it pulls caruso horizontal

That thud when caruso hits is insane, amazing he played most of the rest of the game
