Shut up and let them keep talking

This is the kind of person who will actually do some time. Not Trump. Who will pardon this guy in a second if he gets the chance.

Please, do go on...

This conspiracy is coming together rather quickly.

Incompetent treason is the best kind of treason, for those who don't want treason.

You can do a lot of stuff like this when the law doesn't apply to you or your party.

It's only going to get worse.

Depends on the crime. I love bragging about all the batteries I've shoplifted from Home Depot, because minor theft from Home Depot is cool and morally right!

Just think: you too can walk into Home Depot, and stash some screws in your pockets, and nobody can stop you!

Another day, another batch of evidence telling us what we already know, and nobody of consequence in jail.

Like Sean Penn in I Am Sam slow.

Wessoman: Now this is the guy that you need to arrest and flip.

This conspiracy was vast and well documented. There are so many middleman with lots to lose and no vast warchest of cash to throw at the problem. We know a number of Pence and Trump staffers have testified voluntarily including Melania's chief of staff.

America needs to see all this dirty laundry aired in a prime time package made for easy digestion for anyone with a 6th grade education.

Follow that up with aggressive prosecution and jail for the Trump and all his enablers, family or otherwise and we might see a shift in attitudes among his supporters. They firmly  believe they are above the law now, thanks to him and his corrosion of the rule of law can only be addressed by application of harsh justice for all involved.

Transcription FTFA:

"[Matt Maddock] fought for investigations into every part of the election we could. He fought for a team of people to come and testify in front of the committee. We fought to seat the electors. Um, the Trump campaign asked us to do that - under a lot of scrutiny for that today. My husband has, he's suffered for that a little bit in Lansing because it's not very popular, but you know when you represent the whole state of Michigan and that's what I see it now. I realize that even though you're going to vote for somebody to be your next state representative, your next state senator, the truth is, this body of people, they represent all of us.

I've had loss prevention take me aside , or walk up to the van and ask for a receipt for either excess merchandise I rolled in or damaged merch that I was taking back. Depends on the store and the employee. All apologised when they realised I wasn't trying to steal. I would add that former people with my company have stolen , mostly tools , and they are fired before they get back to the farm or office. Cameras are everywhere.

edmo: This is the kind of person who will actually do some time. Not Trump. Who will pardon this guy in a second if he gets the chance.

Trump will only pardon those that don't still have dirt on him. By the time someone like this dipshiat sees the inside of a jail cell, the damage is done, and a pardon is pointless

2022-01-21 5:40:42 PM
What's sadly becoming very clear is that the person with the biggest balls on that day is the one who we are pretty sure has none: Pence. All of their actions and hopes and aspirations came down to that guy being what he is known to be, a man who can't be alone in a room with woman and apparently powerless, became the most powerful defender of democracy in a lifetime.

/JFC that hurt to type
//he still has no balls

Counterpoint: Trump wouldn't because 1) this guy failed, and 2) pardoning him doesn't benefit Trump in any way.

They're bragging because they feel safe in doing that.

They're bragging because they know, in their hearts, they will not face any consequences.

I hope they're proven wrong. I won't hold my breath.

It really doesn't get acknowledged enough that if the Trump administration wasn't filled with and working with the stupidest people imaginable, the coup would have been successful.

I expect with this impossible to ignore evidence the arrests should be coming within the next few hours.

FTR, this is the same admission we've had on /politics before. Yesterday: It was Rudy in the Towers with the Electors.

I also seem to recall another link (yesterday or the day before) got yanked for being a dupe, but I can't see it (obviously, I'm a filthy liter).

Honestly I think this is the most likely thing that Trump and Trumpworld figures could be prosecuted for.

There's actual physical evidence, pieces of paper that people signed, delivered to the National Archives, and fraudulently presented as valid. For everything else there are too many ways they could be given benefit of the doubt, or the statutes could be interpreted for them in a way which doesn't cover what they did technically (others less right-wing would probably not get interpretations which provide such leeway, but such is the country of the USA), or something else.

But for this, there's actually physical evidence of a physical crime. That's not to say the USA won't still find a way to somehow NOT hold the perps accountable, but this is the one I think is most likely to actually stick if anything does.

If.
