And say, 'Thus says the king, "Put this fellow in prison and feed him meager rations of bread and water, until I come in peace."'"1 Kings 22:27

I think he read that wrong.

My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was because I had you locked in that crazy vicar's basement

The state's Division of Aging Services and Department of Human Services were called and placed all eight people into "suitable" care and housing, the statement added.

Hopefully a nice underpass, praise be to Saint Reagan 🙏 🙌

Well now they can get the mental health care they need and definitely won't be left on a street corner somewhere.

Not much different than most group or retirement homes. My personal plan for my golden years is to shoot myself before I reach the point that I need that kind of care.

The title of "pastor" comes from the latin word for "shepherd."

It's wise to remember why shepherds keep sheep in the first place, and what inevitably happens to them.

As I have always said... the louder they preach, the bigger they sin.

They should bring back stoning for these assholes

The trouble is, these people may have thought they were doing the right thing, even with being fraudulent. Maybe they looked into how to be a licensed group home and found out that they could not do it because their facility didn't meet requirements, their training didn't meet requirements, background checks, whatever the reason.

But the biggest charge is because they locked the room. If someone with dementia may wander off and face harm, you can install a door alarm, but don't lock them up. If someone is to that point, it's time for them to be in a place designed for that.

True story:   My brother, a disabled vet, was once taken to a home care center.  My mother was just fighting with vet admin to get him back home. She finally found where he was.  The place was in the hills/jungle type part of the country.  The people being cared for were living in run down shacks with little to no care or supervision.  They had one guard at the front locked gate.  My mother went there and they would not let him go with her.  So, being the super bad ass mom and not one to mess with, she hired about 10 big guys and drove to the place in a van during the night.   When they got there, she cut the lock and they all ran in yelling FBI FBI FBI, everybody on the ground.  They grabbed my brother and stormed out of there.  The vet admin called her afterwards with some words. She just replied, "oh yeah, this is going to be on the news".  They never messed with her again.  She contacted my step father who was not a model citizen and was very shady with scary dirty deeds in his dealings.   He said, "it's ok, we're gonna let that cool down for a bit".   Several years later, the owner of the care center was gunned down.  Not sure, but I could guess what happened.  Anyway, my mom was quite the Sigourney Weaver/Uma Thurman-Kill Bill kind of woman. RIP mom.

"self-styled pastor"?  If you and your wife are the only people calling you a "pastor" then you ain't one.
