Buy a gallon of Coca-Cola, add some sugar and orange dye and you've got a suitable replacement.

That's interesting because the per-capita consumption of OJ is less than half of what it was even 20 years ago.  Americans just don't drink much OJ anymore.

But Florida has a lot less orange groves than it once had.  US 27 and the Turnpike through Central Florida used to be all orange groves.

When they built the Citrus Tower in the 1950s, it was all this:

The article mentions nothing about greening.

A lot of grove owners seem to be switching to satsumas, which have the advantage of words that rhyme with them.

I tried to google that and I found another processor that recently closed.  I'm reading that between citrus kanker and Hurricane Irma, Florida's OJ industry is possibly doomed.

Pork bellies, that's used to make bacon; which you might find in a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich...

Since we're ripping off each other's comments from the exact same thread about this yesterday, I was going to post that GIF, but you beat me to it.

Pretty sure there was a buy headline and an admin swapped threads because either I violated some rule and had my comment deleted that OJ was overpriced sugar water with artificial OJ flavoring.
