Politicians?

Or does he have dissociative identity disorder?

Also, is "bumbking" actually a thing or should it have been "bumbling?"

Ivo Shandor: It started as an act.

I thought you were linking to a different article, one where Johnson was observed to deliberately mess up his hair before going on-stage so that he could appear as a kind of dishevelled wunderkind or whatever. I doubt I'll actually look out the article I'm thinking of before ending this post, but I'll fairly sum up its argument: Johnson pretends to be dishevelled and disorganized because it's endearing. He pretends it because it lets people know he's one of the ordinary folk.

So far, so good. But then the problems start to arise because if this was all Johnson pretending, then that meant that Johnson was lying. He knew how to comb his hair. He knew how to be organized. But, okay, he's a politician so he gets a bit of flex on that.

Until. Until the death of the Duke of Edinburgh. Until the acknowledgement of 150,000 UK deaths. Until, if you will, the deaths of 150,000 grandparents, parents, sons, daughters. The highest death toll of all European nations.

And he still couldn't be bothered to comb his hair. So, here's my theory. Johnson combed his hair before going on-stage and messed it up deliberately so that a journalist could say he saw him do so. Thus was the myth of the Quietly Conscientious Johnson formed. But, in fact, we've only evidence that Johnson combed his hair once, to provoke that exact story.

But when someone gives me news of dozens of tens of thousands of my compatriots dead from a plague, I expect them to put on a shirt and a farking tie, and to brush their farking hair, and to give the dead every kilo, pound, ounce and gram of respect. This was not a Cheery Chappy Moment.

He couldn't be bothered, that day, I guess.

inglixthemad: He really is a calculating arsehole, he just got caught flat-footed this time.

He's been caught flat-footed every time, for decades. He's an appallingly bad liar, and has only got away with it because he's been telling lies people are willing to believe.

The problem with the stupidly-titled "Partygate" is that, well, no one wants to believe what he says. That no parties happened? That he didn't attend one? That he attended one for half an hour before realizing it was a party? That he didn't know the rules he'd told everyone to obey--with huge fines if they didn't!--the day before? That no one had told him that the rules the parties broke were not explained to him, after he'd explained them to everyone else in the whole country?

His problem is that now his lies are about him. And no one gives a damn about him.

He's such a moron and it's a sad commentary that he and Trump both won elections, because both the labor party and the Democratic party thought it was a great idea to run a horribly unpopular and ineffectual candidates against them.

Then again this is the democratic party that's going to run Charlie Crist for governor of Florida yet again. You know, the guy who's lost elections as a republican, a democrat, and an independent.

Labour's problem is that the leader is elected by the party members. And the party members wanted a socialist, like Corbyn. The Parliamentary Labour Party - the sitting Labour MPs - did not want Corbyn.

And that's the basis of how come the Labour Party has been farked in the UK for several years.
