My standards are pretty low, but even I have limits.

/I found out that it's the $5 Kroger cake.
//Which husband purchased for my birthday.
///Even after he'd bought it before and was told not to buy it again.

This makes me a bit sad, since we go every year.

It's a super fun way to low-key your Valentine's Day date.

Bonus, you get to tip the servers more than twice the cost of the meal.

fark-it, we're doing drive-through sliders again this year.

Valentine's day is a Hallmark holiday. It is also for new lovers, not for the wife to expect even more for no reason.
Yeah, I said it.

If you want to do something nice for the wife, just do it... you don't need a scheduled expectation for it. You'll actually get far more points out-of-the-blue anyway.

Hey, there's plenty of food carts around...who needs some fancy building and waiters when you've got a weatherbeaten picnic table?

We used to have a Long John Slivers and I miss it.  It was the only place on Oahu I could get fried clams.
