Legends has gotten away from time travel hijinks but it's still goofy fun.

And this is my weekly "Astra only speaks through clenched teeth and it's distracting" comment!

I've avoided all reality shows like the plague.. er, like COVID.. but I guess that was survivable.  Of course, the guy who saves them is the guy who was burned being in one before, and learned to get out by boring the viewers.

Lots of semi-sexy shenanigans... even Spooner decided to get naked for most of the show.  Both Zari's were out for a bit.

And now they're thinking of preventing WWI.  I'm thinking that if they prevent the archduke's assassination, they might delay the start of the war by a week or two.  He was merely the pretext that triggered a whole lot of mutual protection treaties.

I guess John Diggle grew in a COVID beard.  He has a history with Jada Jett, and together they found the Joker's joy buzzer in Renee's office.  But he was really there to see if Luke could open an alien box for him... the Green Lantern ring?  What, it changed its mind about him being worthy?

Luke's still feeling pretty useless.  Ryan is realizing just what a clusterfark the writers have put her through this season.  But on the upside, after lots of squabbling, Sophie kissed her.

Alice and Mary talked about their weird sister act, how it shouldn't work.. but in the end, they both seemed to get the sister they wanted.  Alice was afraid that OG Poison Ivy would kill Mary.  It didn't happen yet.. but it still might happen.

As a side note, it's a bit weird that Alice is mostly out on parole, but her father is in prison for not saying that Alice was his daughter.  But that's one less actor on the payroll, and with the Crows shut down, he wouldn't have anything to do.

Sounds like enough time travelers have tried to stop WWI, that people gather and bet on it.

COMALite J: Other than Dinah Lance and Steel, who's left in the Legends who's an actual DC comics character?

Speculation: the series finale of The Flash will tie in with DC's Legends of Tomorrow as it's revealed that both Gideons are actually one. She's been manipulating all of them the whole time.

Sara, not Dinah.  I think Sara is an amalgam of several different black/white canaries from the comics.
But I don't think there was ever an actual Sara Lance/white canary in the comics.

And Zari is a version of Isis so she's 'technically' a DC comic character.

But yeah, I've complained in the past that though I love the show, I AM disappointed they've drifted away from being a DC D-list character show.

The original show was such a weird combination of characters, that's what made me start watching.

If you tried to sell it today? No one would watch.

COMALite J: Right. I don't know why I was thinking Dinah. I'd barely read anything with the DC comics version of Isis and so didn't make that connection.

They should bring in the Will Peyton version of Starman.

I've never read her in a comic, I only know her from the Shazam/Isis hour TV show.

And as far as I know the only real similarity is Zari's totem is like Isis' amulet allowing her to control the elements?
I'm not actually sure what Zari's totem does.... Uses wind to knock people over?  And has an apartment in it?

They have SO much to choose from in DC's library, I'm really not sure where they decide to make Gary/Spooner/Mona (ughghhhhh!!  MONA!!!!) characters !!!!

Still haven't gotten around to watching this weeks Legends but I managed to see Superman and Lois.  To me at least it's incredibly obvious what is going on with the government super squad.  There is no Justice League so they are going to be the stand-ins for what happened with the league members during the Doomsday storyline in the comics.

I've seen some comments about the next Legends episode that it might have Matt Letscher's Eobard Thawn.

And it'll be directed by Maisie Richardson-Sellers.
