The political commercials against Democrats so far have been hitting them with their loyalty to Wall Street.

The Republicans know what the Democrats' problem is. It is a shame the Democrats don't.

I wonder at some point we have to realize that polls like this are polling people who were alive during the internet trolling era where people did all sort of things for sheer "lulz". If someone calls me and asks my opinion about politics, I'm not even sure what sort of wild hair might be up my ass that day and the answers I'd give them, since it's none of their damn business. I don't owe Gallup shiat.

I hear this so much but can't recall a single recent political ad around here that was 'I'm not a republican, what more do you want!' It's usually what they are going to do for people, but I guess it's easier to gloss over entire platforms with such a simplistic bumper sticker length analysis. And adding 'won't accomplish anything' really sells me on it.

That anti-Grump wave lasted about as long as a tsunami, and all the lunatics holding the microphone and leading the charge got really mad when the Democrats stopped following their drumbeat.

The level of apathy will hit Democrats far harder in the coming erection.  You'd better get some teenagers in there to fire things up.

Wait, I think that island is closed, now.

I was at the German embassy a couple weeks back working on getting my kid her third passport. If shiat really goes badly, we are getting the fark out. You should check into immigration law based on where your family is from - you may well have another citizenship without even knowing it. Ireland will allow you claim citizenship if any one of your grandparents was Irish, which is the most generous that I know of. Even the other European states will let you claim citizenship if one parent was a citizen, regardless of whether or not that person ever even lived in the country.

I'll openly admit I'm no patriot these days. I didn't choose to be born here, and I'm sure as hell not proud of the people of this society, its general ethos, or the government these people have brought upon us all. If this country did things worth being proud of, I would be all for it, but as it stands at the moment I'm very ambivalent.

Well we're farked.

Other countries aren't so much going to care or not care, really, so much as the U.S. is going to be an unreliable country to deal with going forward, on so many fronts. Public health. Global solutions to taxing the hell out of billionaires. Climate change. Science. Diplomacy. Every goddamn thing.

Voting against something doesn't put bodies in voting booths.   It never has, no matter what that something is, and that's without getting into 2/3rds of your population being, at best, is apathetic towards overt white supremacy.

This country is doomed and it deserves to be doomed. The vast majority (about 70%) of the population are either racists, misogynists, homophobes, apathetic, brainwashed, or just plain dopes.

They'll get their Republican Christian dictatorship and then all the apathetics will be like, "Oh, I didn't know this was going to happen." and all the spineless centrist civility fanatics will be like, "Oh, but we did everything we could.", which of course they didn't.

Just corrupt and stupid, from top to bottom, the majority of billionaires are grasping, greedy, evil, selfish f*cks. The majority of middle class people are grasping, greedy, evil, selfish, f*cks. The majority of working class people are grasping, greedy, evil, selfish, f*cks.

It's a culture of "I've got mine, so f*ck you." and that even applies to people who don't have two nickels to rub together because they want to take a massive sh*t on the next guy down the ladder from them. All these bastards want is to take a crap on the guy next to them. If you're poorer than them, darker skinned than them, less pious than them, or actually care about what happens to other people, they want you to suffer and/or die. Facebook is a perfect microcosm of this. Assholes reign and decent people are silenced. While the self-fellating imbeciles watch cat videos and TikToks of people being nasty to each other for laughs.

Individuality beyond reason. No society. No selflessness. No compassion. Not even one thought about anything other than themselves. We're going to be just like Russia between 1992 and 2006.

All these chimps love their guns and their money more than they love their children and their country, period. They could give a sh*t about anything else. Get kids in schools so they can catch Covid and have active shooter drills because mommy and daddy have to go to work and catch Covid and then go shooting rats in the town dump for entertainment Saturday night.

Just a massive collection of screaming, mewling, ignorant assholes sitting on their fat asses watching reality television, going to sports games and work unmasked and unvaccinated and screaming "Let's Go, Brandon" while scarfing down 8000 calorie bags of sh*t and wondering why they can't get health care.

About 30% of the country and 75% of the Fark pol tab is looking on this rollicking, cancerous collection of animated meat in horror, yelling into the void that we're going to lose democracy and the republic, and if any of the unwashed, uneducated, uninspired mouth-breathers even hears this cry from the heart, depending on the depth of their stupidity, they'll say:
Apathetic: "This is fine."
Centrist: "Oh, you're so hysterical! It can't happen here."
Conservative: "Shut up, libt*ard."
Idiot: "We live in a republic, not a democracy."
Ignorant: "All politicians are crooks."
Moron: "We need term limits."

We should have left this sinking ship full of rats but we thought we'd turned a corner with electing Obama. What a sick, sad, pathetic excuse for a joke that was. Just like the whole hypocritical country. Celebrates freedom, but you can't vote or go outside because of the drooling masses of incompetent subhuman Dunning-Kruger award winners masturbate to dead children in cages, bombing foreigners, forced births, and tax cuts.

Yes even when the other guys are Nazis.  Because you'll find people who will say "well at least the trains are on time with the Nazis"

You need to identify they are Nazis, explain the damage they are doing and then most importantly explain what you will do better.

Yes it suck to have to tell people that Nazis are bad but just saying "I'm not them" isn't a winning strategy.

If you believe this is the beginning of the end for the US as you know it, I would absolutely say that you ideally want your assets out before the mid terms, and certainly before the next big election.  I doubt things will go south quickly enough that you won't have time to leave after that, but a government worried about capital flight can react surprisingly rapidly.

Of course, you do want to be planning your exit now regardless of when you intend to execute it, because you still have to get through your destination nation's bureaucracy.

I agree from a practical standpoint, but the I need to be inspired people are just as dumb as Republicans and Democrats could get shiat done if they had big majorities.

You let the shiattiest candidate win every time and then through incumbency advantage or outright elimination of democracy the future inspiring person has no chance.

That's a rather stupid take on things. Were you around during and shortly after 9/11? Of course a tragedy of that magnitude is going to cause most Americans to rally around the President. Are you saying if someone happens to explode a nuclear weapon in a major American city right now that everyone should hate Biden for it and start voting Republican?

If you took a poll of toddlers and asked them if they preferred the parent who keeps yelling at them to stop playing in the streets or the "nice" parent who stands up for their "right" to chose to play where they want to, guess which way they'd vote.
