Funerals are about the living

This is prop worthy

Does everything need to be about building one's brand equity on social media? Why does a ride home from the airport in a dead guy's car need to be livestreamed? Why are they both in the pickup vehicle - two people drive to the pickup vehicle, one person each drives two vehicles away.

I'm being too cynical aren't I? Ross is from Jersey and Meyer from CT, so maybe this isn't a typical Hollywood attention grab. But still.

Also, John Meyer starting to look like Alan Alda.

Who knew John Mayer was such a fan of The Aristocrats doc

"Why did you send a plane for Bob's body?"

"We had this fishing trip in the Bahamas planned out for months, and the tickets are non-refundable. He's not bailing on me just because of a little personal setback."

I didn't know people still hated John Mayer.

Yes, you're too cynical. You've asked why everything has to be for building clout when your only reason for thinking that's the case is your cynicism.

The fundraising is certainly for a good cause. I know a person who died of scleroderma.  It was an ugly and extremely painful condition. Interesting that Saget had a fondness for that charity - he must have also known a sufferer.

A small private plane for a corpse is actually NOT an unusual thing. They don't fly coach, they don't fly cargo. How the hell else are you supposed to get them from FL to LA? Train? It's a good way for novice pilots to get flight hours without endangering anyone.

Caskets fly in the cargo hold of passenger aircraft all the time.

It was a very kind gesture towards the Saget family, and a show of respect towards Bob. Good on Mayer for stepping up,

I was surprised to read John Mayer was a pall bearer for Bob. To read he flew the body home drives the point home a little more.

I know of few families that would let an attention whore be a pall bearer. They must have been close. I'm not passing judgement, for once.

He was actually one of Bob Saget's best friends, you f***king as**holes.
Seriously, go eff yourselves. Painfully.

After watching his sister die a horrible death from it he dedicated a very significant portion of the rest of his life to help fight it because he never wanted another person to have to watch their loved ones die like that. Rich Eisen commented about his death saying something along the lines of: the only thing Bob would have wanted from people is to never stop the fight against scleroderma and continue the charity, so Mayer is seemingly carrying on the fight in his stead.
