They quote from the email in the linked article.
In it he wrote, "I have a hard time understanding how we can be in public health and not practice it."

I really don't see that as mandating or intimidating, but then again I am pro-vaccine.

Either way when you're in leadership in state government leave your opinions out of emails unless specifically asked for an opinion.

I call this just a start. We need to fire every Health and Safety a-hole who goes all holier than thou about safety guards. They get in my way and keep me from getting a production bonus. Don't even get me started on those nerdy safety glasses that fog up. I'm never gonna get anywhere with Donna in inspection with dork glasses.

I'd say the state should cut all Orange County funding, but it's not Florida, a United State in name only (USINO?), so the alleged government of record there won't intervene.

We should really talk about Florida. Might be time for Bugs Bunny to get out his saw.

They won't ban it. I mean, that sounds like a mandate. Instead they'll just burn all the books and redirect funding away from public schools.

A public official should not intermingle his personal beliefs or political ambitions with his sworn duty to act in the best interests of the citizenry, especially when it comes to public health.

He should be impeached if he does not resign in disgrace.

What you are suggesting is deeply immoral.

Vaccines are one of modern medicine's greatest tools for combatting disease. That's not an opinion, that's a verifiable fact.

Expecting someone who works in public health to intentionally downplay vaccines' role in public health - which is what you just argued - is a nakedly political act in and of itself, and murderous too.

It's hard to believe you have any ideas worth considering if this is something you believe was right to do to him.

I mean ... I work in a department of a state-funded medical school. Department leadership sends out tons of emails to faculty that include evidence-based public health advice and resources about wellness, exercise, mental health support, parenting, family caregiving, etc. This is a normal thing for workplaces to do, and offends nobody. It's pretty telling that only the dullest of dullards could possibly be offended by it.

This is the only one I could find that had more of what he actually wrote, but I couldn't find a copy of the actual e-mail.

In it, he wrote, "I have a hard time understanding how we can be in public health and not practice it..."
He wrote that he had an analyst run vaccination data for employees, and that out of the 568 active staff at the department, only 77 had received a COVID-19 booster, 219 had two doses of the vaccine and 34 had only one dose.
"I am sorry but in the absence of reasonable and real reasons it is irresponsible not to be vaccinated," Pino wrote. "We have been at this for two years, we were the first to give vaccines to the masses, we have done more than 300,000 and we are not even at 50% pathetic."

Sidney Powell has a law degree. It's not outside the realm of possibility. It might be why the claim is "has a law degree" but not "is a lawyer". Not everyone passes the bar, heh.
