Someone pointed out that in all the close-up reaction shots, nobody's hair is moving.  And now I can't unsee it.  They were too lazy to even point a fan at the actors.

I'm liking the show so far, but that scene was high on the lame-meter.

Oh, star wars, just keep revisiting the 1950s, as all your kiddie fans keep wanting as it's super culturally relevant to them.

What's the over/under that adding the scene was "encouraged" by Disney who are planning a new ride based on the scooters at Galaxy's Edge?

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt given he was probably getting plastered all week as part of making Danny Star Wars Canon. I just want one machete fight scene to unify the this in the Spy Kids universe as officially Machete Kills Again.....in Space.

I saw lots of hair, hoods, and jackets moving. Not awesomely or consistently but it is there.

The whole show is amazingly bad. Impressively bad.

...we're surprised greasers' hair doesn't move in the wind?  Were you expecting a less resilient pomade?

It started OK, but the last episode... well the last episode was...

Greasers?  They were totally a bunch of space Mods.

Reading the headline made me think another Mario Kart game was in the works but with Star Wars characters.

Wait until The Madilorian returns without its best/main character. A man in a tin suit saying 'this is the way' 10 times an episode is not all that enthralling.

/I will still watch it

Speeds of 3 don't really blow your hair back that much.

That scene was extremely ... not thrilling.

At least when they attacked the train with the speeders in episode two, there was some sense of fast movement.

Power ranger scooters in a low-speed chase, not so much.

I give the Fett series maybe 5/10 so far, and most of those points were accrued in episode two.

It's the one element I wish they would go more in depth on.

The Millenium Falcon was basically a hot rod from Mos Espa Hot Wax.

Guys, it's not a good show. It's not even well directed, which it should be with Robert Rodriquez behind it. It looks bad, Ming-na is basically window dressing and under-utilized and Boba just isn't interesting.

I don't think it's a bad show. I believe some people were expecting it to be Mandalorian 2.0 (of course if it were that, people would complain about it being a rehash). BoBF is a different journey, Boba's redemption, I find it compelling. And no, Ming-Na is not "window dressing" she's an integral part of the story as Boba's lieutenant, hell, she's had almost all the action scenes.

*From the ending of the last episode it sounded like we are getting some Mando for the next one.

The fight with the "assassins" in ep 2 broke me. Two of the supposedly most badass killers in the galaxy get ambushed in broad daylight in a wide street by a crowd of pajama-wearing goons armed with, what, sheilds? The scooter chase felt too much like young Indiana Jones swinging on vines with monkeys chasing nazis in jeeps.

I'm trying to ignore the huge errors in this show.

The power rangers Vespa gang is just wrong in so many ways. I thought they were a thieving street gang? Those speeders were almost sparkle-bright, disavowing Lucas' almost immediate world-building brick: space equipment is mostly used and banged up. And each a different color? Wtf? And it was a slow chase, a poorly paced chase. A chase-by-numbers chase.

Could Favreau be shouted down by the imbeciles orbiting this franchise?

The point still stands that Star Wars is on life support at this point dying a slow death in the hands of Kathleen Kennedy and all these other idiots running the show. Seriously how do you screw up a Boba Fett series directed by Robert Rodriguez? This had potential to be better than the Mandalorian but they made it just as boring and pointless as Solo.

It makes sense, though.  25 years ago that aesthetic was en vogue on Coruscant and the core worlds.  25 years later, some street kids on the far edge of civilized space have seen a holovid or two of footage from that era, and after growing up with dreary desert motif interrupted only by Imperial brutalist design, they think they're hip retro.

Kids watched Happy Days in the 80s and Brady Bunch in the 90s while their parents got their dose of nostalgia, and some of them glommed onto it.

This is all inner circle stuff.  The failures that the show has (or doesn't have) are squarely on Favreau and Filoni.  Perhaps everyone telling them could do no wrong has led to this.  Sounds vaguely familiar.

Fennic Shand reminds me so much of Clover from All Hail King Julien that I can hardly watch BoBF

I am an incredibly passive STAR WARS fan - heck, not even really a "fan."  I do not have much invested in the universe, but this felt just wrong to me, and did nothing to make me the least but curious about the series.  This is a type of scene that makes me wonder about the creative/decision making process behind the scenes more than how it fits in with the universe.

Could be.
Or it could be that Favreau's ability to redeem the franchise has been... overstated.

I guess it could be worse -- they could bring in Kevin Smith.
