Betty was a refreshing role model for me. She proves you don't have to get old and cranky and complain of aches and pains.

You don't HAVE to, but if you're not Betty White you tend to have a lot less going on in your life.

Well no longer Betty, I now have a more exciting life than you.

Neat. Also a reminder that SNL has some ridiculously good looking alumni

Or her.  Note the hood.

It was pretty obvious to all who watched it wasn't actually her.  I guess subby is....  Special.

They aired it a few weeks ago.  It originally aired in 2010.  They're just now figuring that out?

Tangentially related: the original Andrew Gold song, "Thank you for being a friend," is actually quite good. It's one of those songs that adds more instruments with each verse and builds to a resounding end. Also, a really nice bridge.

/his album version from "All This and Heaven, Too" is not as good as this version
//I think this qualifies as a crescendo? I don't know music terms

I'm okay with the Lake Street Dive cover, because its the entire song.

I'm also pretty sure they didn't actually tackle her in the Snickers commercial either. If you don't recognize why, well, you must be special.

I love that she was always so open to new things and that she stayed out there in the Stage lights entertaining us. I'm not sure who got more enjoyment out of her career, her or us. Probably her. I always enjoyed her lightning-fast wit, even though she had good writers she was still as razor-sharp when she was unscripted. My ultimate favorite role of hers, for me, was her Delores Bickerman in Lake Placid. One of my all-time favorites, everyone is so sarcastic, it's such a fun movie. I wanna be her when I don't grow up.

Oh I recognize why.   Same reason Sarah Connor would have broken a hip in Terminator: Dark Fate.
