Considering BA's stance on these issues, are they firing the victims?

So no transparency or accountability? This will end one of three ways. 1) unionized Blizzard and CEO gets sacked in the process. 2) Blizzard hollowed out and failing in everything by year's end as everyone finds their own personal line crossed by something done by management. 3) Blizzard sacking everyone who submitted complaints and hiring replacements who admire toxic workplaces.

"But we've disciplined 44 people!"

Were those the abusers or the complainants? Were any of the abusers fired, as they should have been? Or were they merely given warnings?

Honestly, it looks like #2 is already underway.

Haven't they been doing 3 for years now which has caused the current sewer situation in the place?

A few dozen reprimands and quittings/firings, wow. This is big, because Blizzard is a smaller company, employing only 200 people. *checks notes* er, 9,200 people.

So, does Blizzard even make games anymore?  Or do they continue to exist solely as a litmus test for which side of the outrage mob you fall on?

Speaking of games, (getting on my ranting box) where the hell are the games?  Seriously, its been 18 months since the release of the PS5 and I still can't find one in the wild.  But more importantly, I can't seem to find any games for it that would make me actually want to hunt one down.  Epic seems to be in the business of releasing achingly beautiful tech demos that we may see actually incorporated into game-play in another 5 years or so.  Activision/Blizzard exists solely to excrete the annual Call of Duty Rehash.  EA and Take Two release the occasional micro transaction casino disguised as a sports franchise, and everyone else seems to be busy with games that look like they should have launched on mobile devices.

Seems like kind of a big deal. No greened thread on it yet, though.

#4

The stockholders file a fiduciary duty lawsuit against the board and ceo for unnecessarily exposing the company to liability and drops in stock prices.

Yeah this is why I basically gave up on console games years ago. The games are all shooters (still inferior than PC,) sports games (yawn,) or ports from a mobile game or PC game that can work on a console.  On PC the game catalog is wide open with a ton of options.

/Side note:  Just tried out the game "Hades", an exception to the rule.  Great game.

I'd give it the smart tag rather than sad, seeing todays acquisition.

So was there a greened thread on the acquisition today?  Seems like somewhat big news. I tried a few headlines, but they all quickly went red and I didn't notice anything else in the queue.

Thank you. I was looking for something that mentioned Activision, Blizzard, or Microsoft. You'd think I'd know better by now.
