I see the talking points are out "Victim" and "Liberal media" it is

Rand: the move is evidence of a larger effort by powerful media companies to censor or sideline conservative viewpoints.

Gym Jordan: The Left's purge continues: -YouTube demonetizes Dan Bongino. -DirectTV drops One America News. -Twitter suspends Dr. Malone. Who's next?"

Lauren Boebert" Pretty convenient that this comes within a week after Biden begged companies to silence 'misinformation', meaning his opposition.

Oh boy. This is gonna put DTV and probably AT&T in don huffines sights.

2022-01-17 5:32:59 PM
Just think of how much more time you'll have now to spend with your neighbors, Randy. Won't that be great?

Ew, Rand Paul admits to watching OAN?

2022-01-17 5:36:11 PM
Oh look. Rand is a part of that evil cancel culture he rail against so often. It's almost like he is a hypocritical farkwad who deserved that left hook from his neighbor. Neighbor should have used a shovel.

2022-01-17 5:36:26 PM
Bonus: Rand Paul will probably spend about 4 1/2 days trying to find, get a new cable service and trying to meet them when they say they will show up, instead of spending his time farking up the USA with random libertarianism bullshiat pulled out of his daddy's ass.

2022-01-17 5:37:06 PM
Perhaps his favorite neighbor could install a comically oversized satellite dish aimed toward Rand's (christ that's a stupid farking name - typing it pains me) home.

That's what I was going to say regarding ATT, we probably all support them in some way. My Internet goes through them currently. I sure would like to change, but at this very moment it is working fairly well. If something would be better is kind of a gamble where I live. I hate ATT, though. Probably the only company that is worse is CenturyLink, which is god awful.

Where I used to work, all the company cell phones went through ATT. We had a lot of lines and I had the authority to make changes. I got some really crappy service from time to time, despite the nice monthly check they got from us.

(ahem) Whaaaaa!

2022-01-17 5:46:45 PM
"Why give money to people who hate us?" Paul said in a tweet sent on Monday.

- OK, can I stop paying my taxes now? Because there's a shiat-ton of wealthy politicians out there who seem to really hate the poors.

"Pretty convenient that this comes within a week after Biden begged companies to silence 'misinformation', meaning his opposition," commented Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Col.).

- So, she's admitting that Biden's opposition peddles misinformation. Thanks for the tip, white trash gun nut person.

2022-01-17 5:46:53 PM
"Why give money to people who hate us?" Who else are you going to give money to Rand?

2022-01-17 5:49:21 PM
Any true libertarian would understand that for AT&T carrying OAN was just pissing money down the drain. AT&T is helping OAN to pull itself up by its own bootstraps. I'm sure they'll do just fine on their own merits.
Wait, are you saying that OAN was just a parasitic boil on the ass of the universe? Oh my! Oh well.

For the record, there IS a such a thing as "liberal" media.  Yes.  It does exist.  But it is so far out on the fringe that you don't hear anything from them.

The media you DO hear from is unbiased, fact checked, mainstream media.  It could be considered "liberal" only because the truth and facts tend to have a liberal bias.

Conservative media on the other hand is EVERYWHERE.  It is actually more powerful than the mainstream.  It reaches more people.  Because it worms its way into society via social networks and word of mouth.  And this has been the case since before the internet was invented.  "A lie circles the planet a few times before the truth can get its pants on."

I hope that Rand Paul is right, in that this is indicative of the Conservative viewpoints being shut down.  Because those viewpoints are dangerous lies and misinformation.  They are the reason this country is so divided.  They are the reason the pandemic is still raging.  They are the reason that Jan 6th happened.  They are the reason that our voting rights are being stripped away.  They are the reason that Al Franken gets kicked out of office, but we can't get Congress to move on people like Hawley, Cruz, Boebert, MGT, Gym, and Gaetz, and they fomented a farking insurrection!!!

So fark yeah, it's time to shut down that point of view.  The time is long since past.

They can get a Roku and sub for $4.99 a month for the "credible source for national and international news." The lite version is free on Pluto and the Roku channel - OAN Encore. It looks free on DistroTV but only lists talk shows.

Pluto had a bunch of RWNJ shiat.

I have yet to see anyone on breitfart watch anything that they don't steal from somewhere so there is that.

You buy that he actually canceled his subscription?

/I was going to say someone should check his mailbox in a month or so, but I then I remembered that they're a US telecom, so whether or not they're sending bills bears little relation to someone being subscribed.

In all reality, dropping OANN may gain them more customers than they'd lose over this.

The NFL is a good example.  Trumpers were going to drive it out of business for being "woke" by letting players take knees before games.  Its ratings were up way more than 10% this season, and with COVID restrictions lifted, the stands are packed.

I do believe that that right there is an indication that most voters vote for the name that they've heard before, and don't actually know anything about him at all.

To put it another way...  Many (if not most) voters seem to not really know much about anything at all in politics, and don't even do any research before they vote.  They just walk in and vote down the party line, or more often, see 2 names, and vote the one they've heard before.

The truth is that they cut him off because he was a deadbeat who didn't pay his bills.

That's why conservatives are so pissed about "cancel culture".

Whenever THEY try to boycott shiat, it's has the same impact as a fart in a hurricane, but whenever "the extreme left" votes with their wallets if actually works because there is actually a critical masswho agree with them.
The right just doesn't realize how much of a minority they really are thanks in part to electoral maps and voter suppression measures which massively stacked the system in their favor, giving them the illusion of a mandate.

The more sources of news there are, the easier it is to stay criminally uninformed about what's happening in the world. Back in the day, when there was one TV station and two and a half radio channels, there was just "the news", and everyone watched/listened to the same info. There was no "base" to pander to and placate.

And then there's today:
