It's important to pay attention to for-profit BSAB shiat-stirrers such as The Hill.

It must be "progressives are responsible for centrist failures" season.

If Democrats stopped trying to cater to conservatives they would avoid making these mistakes so damn often.

2022-01-17 1:49:16 PM
They are not wrong.

The Democrats need younger representation. That will happen naturally in the next 20 years, it would be nicer if it happened sooner. The olds, think that you can govern through compromise and negotiation. Yes that will happen, but only on critical bills. Meanwhile nothing improves for the vast majority of voters. And the Olds are too stuckup to fight the younger reps in the Republican party.

The real problem in this country is that politics has become a f*cking reality show for stupid idiots. The topics are reduced to farting and ball kicking.

We're not electing our best and our best want nothing to do with the process.

We're are in rapid decline. Just embrace the sh*tshow.

There are plenty of strong voices speaking right now. We need to support them.

If Democrats were an NFL franchise, they would have Patrick Mahomes sitting on the bench for ten years until he was "ready".

But Ryan Fitzpatrick is so experienced, he's gotta be the guy. Plus all those wild, wacky throws Mahomes makes...that's not how it's done if you want to accomplish anything and we need someone who knows better.

Why do we have to wait 20 years? Why are all the people running in their freaking 70s?

1. The Hill sucks
2. Headline isn't wrong. Democratic Centrists think all they have to do is show up and they'll get elected.

The same reason that upper management in most places are Boomers. They refuse to retire because they see themselves as the best people on the planet.

You've already made your opinions clear regarding younger progressives that might run in the future.  They're all disappointing GOP collaborators to you.

It doesn't matter who anyone caters to, or what they do.  You're going whine and complain regardless.

Because people in their 30s and 40s have no money.  They've been bled dry by student loans, rent, medical insurance/expenses.  It is very rare for someone in their 40s to have the wealth needed to be able to have a family and be a politician.  Unless they get into for the grift itself, like you see on the Cons side.

The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Week all devoted real estate in their opinion sections this week to potential big names, including Hillary Clinton,

This seems like rage clickbait and nothing else. You write that Hillary is going to be the nominee and you get so much negative attention.

It depends. Is she biatching because she thinks "workers" are lazy? Or is she biatching because she knows that dumbass anti-vaxxers are keeping us in this pandemic and that is adversely affecting everything and that is causing the issues?

After the Detroit Lions finished 0-16, they sacked the people that led them to that point.

The Democratic Party, on the other hand, still has the same people behind their failed 2000, 2004, 2010, 2014, and 2016 election efforts advising their party today.

Andrew Stein, a local New York official who has long been critical of progressives, wrote that Biden's troubles were piling up so severely that the former New York senator and secretary of State should step into the mix to fix them.

If you put Al Franken as the POTUS candidate and AOC as VP, they would kick the every living shiat out of the GOP ticket, guaranteed. It would be amazing to watch the two of them devour their opponents with gusto and cheese.

Thing is, none of these are serious articles. No way is Hillary running for anything. Either the people writing these stories are so stupid and clueless they are essentially checked out, they have nothing else to write about and therefore should just f*ck off because democracy is in peril, or they are doing the bidding of the owners and editors who want clickbait, in which case they are shills and the entire system is corrupt.

"President Biden's low approval rating, doubts over his capacity to run for re-election at 82, Vice President Kamala Harris's unpopularity, and the absence of another strong Democrat to lead the ticket in 2024-have created a leadership vacuum in the party, which Mrs. Clinton viably could fill," they wrote.

"She is already in an advantageous position to become the 2024 Democratic nominee. She is an experienced national figure who is younger than Mr. Biden and can offer a different approach from the disorganized and unpopular one the party is currently taking," they added.

Don't blame Democratic voters for their preference for candidates who can actually win against Republicans in contested regions.

/ Not that those candidates always do, but at least they make it close, unlike the Corbynite/Sandernista candidates the losing left always prefers

The Times's most well-known foreign affairs columnist, Thomas Friedman, raised eyebrows when he argued for a Biden-Cheney general election ticket, in which Biden would theoretically push aside his current vice president, the first Black woman to hold that position, for Rep. Liz Cheney (Wyo.), a white Republican conservative and staunch anti-Trump lawmaker.

You know who would make a great VP choice for Biden in 2024?  Ivanka Trump!  Let's see her father attack that ticket then!
