Who would ever think that a family that abused non-profits for personal gain would ever do such a thing once their idiot father held the most powerful office on the planet?

I'm shocked.

Thieves gonna thieve.  No surprise from the party of personal responsibility.

How do people not insist on cash up front from these assholes?

2022-01-17 11:36:49 AM
They still can't help do these petty little grifts.

It's like a mob boss stealing a pack of gum from Walmart. They just need to know they didn't have to pay like the poors do.

2022-01-17 11:56:34 AM
And like every thing he does, nothing will come of it.

OldRod: How do people not insist on cash up front from these assholes?

Because he does pay eventually.  Trump makes hay about the ones he stiffs, but those are low-level contractors.  They can't afford to pay lawyers for long hauls.  But anyone with money, Trump caved like a little biatch.  He lost many more lawsuits than he won.  But he only advertised the wins.  If you are a large corporation, or just have lawyers on the payroll, you weren't worried about Trump paying.  He would.  You might have to file a lawsuit, but even that just made the lawyer earn their paycheck.

I would have assumed they paid with a credit card. Citi and Chase could take down the Trumps without breaking a sweat.

No, I want him to be figuratively drawn and quartered in front of all of his red hatted minions.

The reason they do the things they do is because they have gotten away with it so far, and faced no severe consequences.  And until i see it happen, i will just assume they never will.

JFC. The inauguration was in January 2017. It's almost February 2022. There's never going to be an indictment over how inaugural funds were used.

If Joe, Kamala or any if their relatives however close or removed had so much as one outstanding, unpaid cable bill, Fox News et al would cover it endlessly. The only thing that stands a chance of deprogramming this cult is to prosecute these crooks and everyone involved and then the real trick will be to get the CONSERVATIVE media to cover it.

personally i'd still rather he pay up front and not have to pay my lawyers most of what the bill totaled up to in order to collect .

The more impressive part are the people doing the grifting for them knowing that they will be left holding the bag and eventually supply evidence for things like this (not that anything is going to happen).

I've had companies hound me over a $31 parking ticket.

But tens of thousands of dollars in hotel charges on a Trump? Meh, let 'em slide.

I know I've been saying the same thing for years.  Howard Stern straight up told Trump to not run for president because of the scrutiny that would follow.

No chance of that happening. Not sure if you have noticed but here are at least tens of millions of americans who would pay good money to even stand within 100 yards of the guy. If he was broke today he'd by rich again by any sane measure before the year was out. That's nonsensical and disgusting of course but TFG will be eating charred steak and McDonalds on a white table cloth for the rest of his life despite his legal woes.

I'll sue you if you come after me, trying to sully my name and tarnish my brand!

We'll tie it up in the courts for years, if I have to. I hope the tens of thousands of dollars is worth the 100's of thousands in damages I will bleed you dry for if you lose.

Well, you can't just start with Tucker and Hannity, or Laura Sieg Heil... you have to let them report on all the rest of the rat-bastards - all the way up the chain to Trump, having to go to jail. Then they themselves should be fined by the FCC for every lie they've ever told while on the air, then waterboarded, then deported, then stripped of citizenship. Then let Hillary go hunt them down for a good old fashioned, village-sized suiciding.

Millions of Americans would love to see TFG get his comeuppance and justice done. Millions of Americans would do their damndest to protect him from any consequences.
It's not worth fighting over - certainly not worth shedding any blood. In the past this sort of problem was solved by exiling the offender. I'm sure we could find a suitable island for TFG to live out the rest of his life. We could build him a rustic cabin on Alcatraz. He could be a feature of the regular tours. Like a sideshow.

Republicans will argue that's it's political. And many Democrats would cave. Nothing will happen.

Yeah, I don't see how this is trouble for anyone.  It could be a $10M bill, and they will just let the hotel take them to court.

Then they will file motions, obfuscate, delay, counter sue, make excuses, destroy evidence, etc...  They will do this until it becomes too costly for the hotel to even bother any more.

And then they will stiff their lawyers for all that work.  Of course their lawyers will sue them, and the whole process starts over again.

They will do this until they all die of old age, never having to have paid a single bill for any farking thing they have ever done.

Nothing will happen, no one will be held accountable.  Every time I see a story like this I just roll my eyes.  Nothing will happen to Trump or his children.  Even if a court ordered them to pay nothing else would happen.
