They sell those dogs for between £3,000 and £30,000 here.  People with the high end show dogs are afraid to take them outside.

Don't you just love how safe and free a gun filled country is?

I often wonder how us brits get through the day not being terrified to even take our dog for a walk, it boggles the mind.

I'm just glad they didn't come back a third time for the daughter.

I could see someone stealing a Mercedes. Idiots love flashy cars, and that's been true as long as there have been cars. If you want to steal a piece of shiat, by all means, steal a Mercedes.

But stealing somebody's dog? That's farked up. That's like kidnapping somebody's child. Anybody who would steal/and or harm a dog deserves the John Wick treatment.

Not a dog person and can't judge but this recent new deal with French bulldogs being seen as a steal worthy luxury breed is just bizarre...there's multiple stories

I had taken Subby seriously and came here to post a diatribe about Hollywood and remakes, then I RTFA.

First off, what kind of lowlife scum steals a person's DOG?

The kind that comes back four hours later and steals their car, apparently.

To be fair, the idea of someone running around with a 2 inch (5.08cm in brit) pairing knife terrifies the fark out of you guys.

I'd see that movie while stoned.

Thank God it's not about a new Ace Ventura movie.  Those things kill brain cells.

You underestimate the number of illegal guns on our streets and the amount of dogs stolen here recently.  That's why I don't understand the comments.
A 5" blade cuts just as easily as a Katana and is twice as hard to take off someone.
The bad boys here know the police will shoot  them for waving a blade and every third policeman is armed so tend to wave automatics instead.  The only difference is ammunition is in very short supply though you wouldn't know that from the amount of guns going off on new year's.

In true Fark fashion I'm not going to RTFA so I have some questions:

Was this a home invasion or something? Why else would someone be victimized and then sit around in the same place for hours in a position to be victimized yet again? Like they're out with the dog and it gets stole, so they go sit in the car and cry about it for a while only to be carjacked.

Also I don't get why people steal the dogs. Who's paying so much for these that stealing them from people is good business sense? And why do people care that much about these specific dogs? Does some ridiculous fashion icon or idiot "influencer" or terrible reality tv personality have one and thus every aspiring fashion slave, idiot lesser influencer, and reality tv wannabe has to go get one at any cost? It's dumb as hell.

Mom and daughter out walking dog in the neighborhood, lowlifes approach and steal dog, purses with id and car keys at gunpoint. Mom and daughter go home, call police, fill out reports, etc. Then, later that evening, thieves go to home address on id and steal car out of driveway using the keys from the purse.

As for the dog question, I have no idea.
