I *like* bologna, but "Pure" and "bologna" in the same sentence?

Pure baloney.

The good stuff the deli counter will slice up for you or the prepacked stuff that is all lips and a-holes?

For years my brown bag school lunch was Bologna on Wonder Bread with mayonnaise and yellow mustard.

These days I can't stand any of those foods.

Mrs Fan would divorce me if I brought bologna home from a trip to the grocery store. When I was a kid it was always in the fridge.

"Ham" salad
Grind up a pound of bologna
Add 2 chopped eggs
Sweet relish
Chopped onion
Mayo

last time I was in Bologna was, hmmm... summer 2001? I ain't remember much about the food, we were mostly obsessed with artworks. and it remains my favorite of all eye-talian cities.

also the youth-hostile in which we stayed, offered a pretty standart (inclusive!) breakfast of: rolls+butter, deli meats, cheeses, fried eggs, cafe au lait.

/ either throw in a likels account  to be astounded by, the "good ole days" or shake your head with the soundtrack of Lawrence Welk in the background and Guffaw. This is culture that Candance Owens thinks is"peak culture" even though her family couldn't sit in a lunch counter in most of the country. Without being claimed  to be " uppity" or worse "agitators" or other words I cannot say. This is what most think is a " high point in this country". I want more spices in my palate, sorry. I want a United Nations in my spice rack and my bedroom. Pepper isn't a spice for weak food. Cumin , Cilatantro, Paprika, Srirachia , Ginger, Schimichi,Wasahbi, Kimchi, Hummus, etc is. We ain't in 1956. We are in 2022.  Don't get me wrong I like redneck or southern cusine. Yet, you limit your palate or your bedroom to the plantation of 1868.

Summer between freshman and sophomore years in college a couple of us stayed on campus to take a couple classes.  Pretty much stock "meal" during the week was baloney, American cheese and pepperoncini  roll ups
