Isn't this the same parish that claimed people of Latin descent when arrested were actually white to not show bias?

Anyone without money in America is deemed worthless by the government and most people. Billionaires can go to space and poor people can go 6 feet under.

Homeless shelter sounds like a home. I mean, it's better than nothing so I wonder why kicking the homeless onto the streets is considered a solution by so many in government.

Because the people with money want someone to look down upon, to hurt them further without consequences, make the people with money feel better about themselves.

On a slightly different subject....You might think that hospital executives would be the ones who were most in-favor of a Single Payer System so they don't get stuck holding the bag with regards to treating those of limited financial means.

Good point, but to be fair, how would that crew even know if someone did?  Maybe attempted murder, because they sure as shiat demolished a temporary shelter with construction equipment without even bothering to see what was inside of it first.

No. No, that doesn't seem like it would work here. They would trash the place and turn it into a meth lab. I mean, I know I would if I was given free housing.

I know people who dont think food or shelter are basic human rights. They genuinely argued that homeless should just be dead, they are only a drain on society.

I tried to point out that they were calling the kettle black while accepting food stamps and living in government housing. That just made me an asshole.

Sounds like the kid needs medical help.  After recovering from being run over by a bulldozer.  Do they have a warrant to destroy private property like that?

Marie-Chapman says her daughter fell into addiction and routinely lives on the streets by choice. She and Watson say what happened Friday is part of a much bigger problem in Jefferson Parish, a lack of services for people who need them.

I am willing to stipulate the existence of Yeshua the Nazarene but, he was an itinerant cult leader who expected the world to come to an end in the immediate future. His teachings are often wildly impractical if you don't expect the world to end tomorrow. You're supposed to give away your possessions, and your friends and family should be discarded unless they're also following the cult leader. If someone asks you to loan 'em $100, you're supposed to give them $200. See how long that works out for you.

He would have been long forgotten if Saul of Tarsus didn't use him to come up with a new resurrected-god cult. As Saul made clear, you weren't expected to follow any of Yeshua's mad ravings. You just had to believe in him. This is, of course, ridiculous, but no more so than any other religion.
