Too bad it could not have been combined with Dexter's limited run.

I 'really' hope that he gets a postcard from Art who's now living in whatever that little town in Mexico was...

The inclusion of Walton Goggins seems unlikely, and he was the most consistently bright spot in the show. Though, I really like Olyphant and the show in general, so I'd give it a shot.

Art was a great character, but Nic Searcy is such a hardcore right-wing lunatic that I'm OK with him not appearing in this.

The HBO Deadwood film was also excellent to give Bullock closure. Olyphant is a great actor.

I'll say up front I've never seen Justified. I know it is supposed to be good, I've just never seen it. An old colleague has been on me for years about that and lets me know my deep failings as a human being.

A few years into the haranguing over me not watching Justified, my vehicle is in the shop. I'm at the bus stop on the second day of that and a young woman (yes, the answer is yes) walked up to me and asked if I wanted to buy season one and two on DVD or Blu-ray, whichever one it was, IIRC for fifteen bucks total.

I declined.

What I should have done was to show her a photo of my buddy and if she verbally swiped right, to get permission to take a photo of her to show him. Somewhere, in an alternate universe, I played matchmaker and there is a little tyke named Woody running around who was named in my honor as a thank you for directly causing two people to find their soulmate.

It was just a really random occurrence, to have it be that show she inquired about. I'm not going to say it was surreal but it was bizarre, very bizarre.

I finally got around to watching "Justified" last year. It's...not as great as people say.

The first couple of seasons are good. Then it just starts repeating itself over-and-over-and-over. It was a slog to get through, honestly. At some point, it becomes hard to believe that they don't just kill Crowder and get it over with.

But yeah, Olyphant and Goggins are charismatic. And this mini-series, even without Goggins, could be good. Better, maybe. There's nowhere left to go with that character.

Pretty rare for me to get hooked from the opening moments of the pilot. But this was one of those times.
Which at the time also made me chuckle as I remembered Olyphant from The Girl Next Door.
I'll definitely check this out

Depends on the season.  Season 2 is one of my all-time favorite seasons of any television show ever.  Character Actress Margo Martindale farking slayed it.  Seasons 3 and 4 were both really good, but didn't quite hit the same highs as season 2 (although I do loves me some Neal McDonough).  Season 6 was compelling and good, particularly the guest actors, but the writing was fairly uneven (in my opinion).

Seasons 1 and 5...the less said about both, the better.

One of the rare shows that ended at its peak. I'm not sure it needs a sequel, but I will watch it.

Thus only the postcard from whatever town that was where he'd be getting beejs on the beach...

But... isn't Raylan kind of a changed man after the events of the original series?  I'm sure he's still laid back, a smartass, and good with a gun, but he's shifted from "shoot now, worry about procedure later" towards "do the ethical thing".

I guess it'll be interesting to see if they stick with that or ignore it.

"Shut your bony ass up while there's still pieces of you big enough to find."

The other actresses in her Emmy category that year were just a formality.

I liked it, but it did grate on me that for a show whose mood and plots were so dependent on being set in "the hollers", it was incredibly obvious it was filmed in California.  Every single outdoors shot was off.

There's a very, very, very high likelihood that multiple Dewey Juniors are running around Harlan County in the Justified universe.

Also, it's very, very strange reading Pronto after watching the show. It's the very first Raylan book, and it's very different. Riding the Rap (which I believe they just straight up turned into an episode) is much closer to what the show was (even though it's set in Miami). Bonus: the fortune teller minor character winds up in the sequel to Out of Sight.

What!  Th  Ed Crow family made season four fun. I bet you don't believe in the 25 foot rule either.

It's not the Sopranos or The Wire, it's not supposed to be.  But for people who enjoy bad-assery and/or outlaws, it's a solid watch.

And how dare you say that Boyd should've been killed.  Can you even imagine how many souls he must have saved since the show ended?  I think you're just trying to strike out the shepherd, so the sheep may scatter.

Looking for a show similar to Netflix's Longmire. Woman of the house loves it and Google spat out Justified when I asked.

Longmire brought back my memories of being a newspaper reporter in the desert when having to deal with Indian reservation issues, so it has held my interest.

/About to start fourth season

He's the anti-Raylan. It's pretty great because he totally plays off of that element. The show got robbed.

God Almighty, can I give that observation two dozen more smarts?

This is the one stupid thing that reduced "The Deer Hunter" to parody in my eyes. Oh yeah, sharp peaks and pine forests and I'm supposed to believe I'm east of Kansas City.

I loved Justifed, easily in my top 10 all time.

That said, while Santa Clarita Diet is excellent, but NOT in my top 10 all time, I'd still rather SCD get renewed than Justified.

SCD is one of those shows that I have a hard time recommending to anyone.  It's ... absolutely brilliant.  But unfinished.  If SCD were given a proper ending, it'd easily be top 10 for me.

Yeah the book this is based on pretty much uses that as a hook. You have to remember this was a serial character for Elmore Leonard.

I don't think I knew that Walton Goggins was in it, he was excellent in The Shield. Justified has always been one of those shows on my periphery, I'll add it to my list now that I know about Goggins.
