If you're looking for television to do it, you're doing it wrong

How I Met Your Father

Wait, really?! They're rebooting that?! I figured the shiat ending + Ted being the worst main character in a sitcom in a while would've quashed anyone's desire to see a continuance.

Ozark is the only one I'm interested in.

The Righteous Gemstones sounds interesting. I wish it wasn't on HBO.

HBO has a ton of good content, but they're owned by Warner Media/AT&T, who started OANN. Though OANN is spun off now, AT&T and their other spinoff DirectTV still provide the biggest platforms for OANN by far. fark those traitors, they'll get no cash from me.

Go pirate it then - it's a great show

I want the great die-off of streaming services to begin.  Unfortunately I think we still haven't hit peak.

Bridgerton is hands-down the worst television series I've ever watched to completion. And I sat through all three execrable seasons of The Newsroom.

Looking forward to Ozark and Killing Eve. I believe the new season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel drops in February too.

2022-01-03 8:47:38 AM
I'm still trying to watch series from 2021, for heaven's sake.  Honestly, there are series from the 1960's that I still need to watch.

Bel-Air (Feb. 13, Peacock): How many TV shows start as joke YouTube videos? In March 2019, Morgan Cooper uploaded a mock trailer reimagining The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as a dark, gritty drama. Somehow, major TV networks took it seriously, and two years later, Cooper landed a two-season order at Peacock, and an actor named Jerry Madison will play Will Smith. I will watch the pilot, albeit with considerable skepticism.

What.

Well, you may have enjoyed it more if you watched a couple of episodes to almost completion but then edged off.

Sometimes when you do something to completion there is a considerable letdown or even feeling of shame or guilt afterwards.

This. I'm patiently waiting for the silos to collapse again.

Holding off a couple of weeks so I can binge watch the entire final season of The Expanse. In the meantime, catching up on Lupin. I'm hoping to have more steady work at home employment so I'm looking for some half hour comedies to take a break.

I just want season 2 of Arcane please.

2022-01-03 9:40:13 AM
So previous TV shows have a new season coming out?

Don't RTFA unless you like being "hooked" by someone blabbing a season finale spoiler.

2022-01-03 9:51:24 AM
I tried to watch Bridgerton. It didn't grab me though. Euphoria was interesting as a guilty pleasure. I'm really too old to be watching teen dramas but the cast is hot and the story is engaging.

List is missing Moon Knight.

And spare me your "we are already over-saturated with MCU shows" arguments, there's always room for Moon Knight.

Looking forward to Killing Eve and Righteous Gemstones

Looking forward to Picard S2 and the second half of Discovery.

Now we know that there's at least one person looking forward to this show.

Me too. And Strange New Worlds.

Orville season 3:  March.
Picard season 2:  February
Lower Decks season 3:   Honestly not sure, all I could confirm is there will be one and writing is done.   The first two were in August so good chance S3 will be the same.

I started watching Killing Eve right when the plague first started to take hold.  I watched up until they first meet and then got distracted by other stuff.

Should I go back?

FlashHarry: Bridgerton is hands-down the worst television series I've ever watched to completion. And I sat through all three execrable seasons of The Newsroom.

I "watched" the entire season for the set and costume design. There's a lot of really interesting stuff visually and I find stuff that that to be excellent background when doing a big cooking or household project.

Now Killing Eve? I WATCH that show. Then I watch it again and start downloading the music from it. I freaking love Killing Eve.

It was visually appealing. I'll grant you that. But it was so appallingly written and directed that I was mystified at its near universal acclaim.

I feel the same about Outlander, though I haven't watched that one to, er, "completion."

Euphoria:It lost me after like the third episode. I found that it was so over the top.

The Righteous Gemstones: It's a good premise, but as always Danny McBride just takes jokes to exhaustion, and too often it feels like the humor is for a 4th grader rather than an adult.

Walton Groggins and Edi Patterson are well worth tuning in for.

Yes, you've figured out how tv shows work.

RIcky Gervais' After Life and Resident Alien with Alan Tudyk are worthwhile watches, as is Raised By Wolves, The Orville, and Snowpiercer.

Letterkenny just came back over Christmas break, imma enjoy that and the all its previous seasons rewatch for the next little while.

Atlanta for me.

Hopefully Avenue 5 as well.

Ozark stuck the landing and really really doesn't need another season.

Odd that Netflix would renew this and not some of their other gems they canceled too soon.  (Like Santa Clarita Diet)

Danny McBride and Adam Devine. The two most overhyped obnoxious people to date. They are the absolute worst.

But John Goodman is worth watching. So I'm happy for season 2.

Also Atlanta was good. I'm looking forward to that and BCS. I need BCS closure.

But the rest of the list was pure shiat-tv trash.

It's simple, I just identify the biggest treasonous assholes currently trying to destroy American Democracy for a cheap grift, then Google "who owns xyz" and spend ten minutes reading.

Killing Eve is great. I'm just disappointed that I can't get people to watch The Mosquito Coast

Pitter patter.

It's a list of shows debuting or coming back with new episodes this year.  And since there's no official Lasso S3 date yet it makes sense why it's not included.
