"La Mer"?? Talk American, professor. It's "Beyond the Sea." Also, I'd change Satchmo's song to "Hello Dolly."

Are we including things like "Here's Johnny," or does it have to be something the star personally recorded? Couple of obvious ones: "Smile" for Jerry Lewis and "This Could Be the Start of Something Big" for Steve Allen. Plus too also I'd sub "Candy Man" for Sammy.

A lot of obvious ones there. I would have gone with "Surrender" for Cheap Trick.

"Beyond the Sea" was chosen, I suppose, because of the movie, though it's a weird flex to use the original title.

I'm a huge Bobby Darin fan, but I know people older than me who still just think of him as the "Splish Splash" guy, and for myself, harder to say, but probably still not "Mack the Knife." I think I heard "Beyond the Sea" first, or maybe "Lazy River." His version of "Call Me Irresponsible" still melts me to the floor.

...and Imagine Dragons credit for a "The Firm" song?

Mariah's is wrong. Her signature is, as we all (regrettably) know - "All I Want For Christmas."

Also wouldn't have been willing to say that Simon & Garfunkel even *have* a signature song. That catalog is just too strong. "The Boxer" "Mrs Robinson" "Bridge Over Troubled Water" etc etc etc

indy_kid: "Saturday Night Fever" by the Bee Gees.

There is no Bee Gees song called "Saturday Night Fever." There never has been.

They wrote songs for a movie. The movie was called "Saturday Night Fever."Songs they wrote for the soundtrack included "Stayin' Alive," "How Deep Is Your Love," "Night Fever" and "More than a Woman."

The soundtrack album also included Bee Gees songs from years before: "Jive Talking" and "You Should Be Dancing."

Yvonne Eliman's signature song, "If I Can't Have You," was also on the soundtrack album for the film. And was also written by the Bee Gees.

/ sorry

That's pretty much the definition of "signature song."

Their listing "Beautiful" as Christina Aguiliera's signature song most definitely does not rub me the right way.
