I am deeply disturbed by Lambert being far less of an assh*t than he should be. Yenn is also far less prickly and that kind of bothers me a bit. The series is doing a nice job of making all the characters more sympathetic, but I do miss that all of them miss the playful banter. Yenn and Geralt are missing the wit and intellectual ripostes that they should be needling each other with. I get that they're distilling a few books into a series, but it sort of removes a big part of their relationship. They did sort of touch on the fact that Geralt does have some education, beyond the The Path, and that he's been used to dealing with high society, but I want some more of his dry wit.
